Overseas network on January 15, the Australian government announced on the 14th that the visa of Serbian tennis star Djokovic was cancelled for the second time. The latest news from foreign media such as the British "Independent" and the Russian Satellite News Agency said that after the visa was cancelled, Djokovic was arrested by the Australian border management agency on the morning of the 15th.

According to the report, at about 8 a.m. local time on the 15th, Djokovic met with Australian border personnel in a "secret location" agreed upon by the two sides, and was later arrested by the Australian border management agency.

Because Australia requires foreigners to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination at the time of entry, Djokovic encountered trouble when entering the country on January 5, and once faced the dilemma of having his visa cancelled. But after lawyers intervened, he was temporarily moved to the Liuzhi Hotel.

At the Jan. 10 hearing, Djokovic offered an explanation that complied with the rules of the relevant Australian government departments. Djokovic's father told Sky News that day that Djokovic was arrested by Australian police after winning the case.

On January 12, Djokovic again faced the penalty of having his visa cancelled after ticking the untrue option in the Travel Declaration submitted at the time of entry.

Djokovic then explained this through a statement, saying that it was not a deliberate concealment, but that the staff of his own team had been negligent in filling out the report.

As a result, the initiative on whether to cancel Djokovic's visa was back on the side of the Australian government.
