After returning to the motherland, Li Dazhao began to look for like-minded people to discuss socialism, but unfortunately, in 1927, Comrade Li Dazhao was unfortunately arrested and imprisoned by the reactionaries, and Li Dazhao in prison was indeed tortured inhumanly by the reactionaries, but Comrade Li Dazhao was unyielding and resolutely did not bow to the reactionaries, and on April 28 of the same year, Li Dazhao was tragically killed by the reactionary warlords at the age of 38.

Later, Zhao Xiulan also bore Li Dazhao 3 sons and 2 daughters, and on May 28, 1933, his wife Zhao Shulan, who was 49 years old, died.
The eldest son is Li Baohua, the so-called father must have his son, Li Baohua inherited his father's legacy, later joined our Communist Party, and then also participated in the War of Resistance Against Japan, but also served the construction of new China, died on February 19, 2005.
The second son was Li Guanghua, who was only 10 years old when his mother died, but fortunately, with the help of the party, he completed his studies and later held an important position in our party.
The third son, Li Xinhua, was later taken to Beijing by a friend of his father Li Dazhao, and later taught at Beijing No. 8 and 9 Middle Schools, and died in Beijing in 1989.
The eldest daughter, Li Xinghua, after the death of her father, Li Xinghua chose to drop out of school, and then took care of her mother and brother and sister at home, and later went to the University of China and France to study, and died in Union Hospital on November 27, 1979.
