At the beginning of the founding of the Qing Dynasty, the harem was the domain of Mongolian women, such as the first three empresses of the Qing Dynasty, Empress Xiaoduanwen, Queen Shunzhi and Empress Xiaohuizhang, all from Mongolia. However, since the beginning of the Kangxi Dynasty, with the stability of the Qing Dynasty's rule in the Central Plains, the pattern of the Harem of the Great Qing Dynasty began to turn from Mongolian to Full, and even after the Qianlong Dynasty, it was difficult to see Mongolian concubines in the harem.
Concubine Xin was born in the 48th year of Qianlong, and her father was the general Benzhi.
Liu Jia's ancestor was named Liu Lintu, Liu Lintu was originally a deputy general of Shanhaiguan in the Ming Dynasty, returned to the Shun Qing court in the first year of Shunzhi, was incorporated into the Han army with a white flag, and served as the deputy general of Yizhou, and later Liu Lintu made meritorious contributions on the battlefield and was awarded the third-class baron. However, Liu Lin tu wrote to the imperial court that the family was originally a Mongol, because he was an official in the Ming Dynasty, he changed his surname to Han, so the imperial court changed it from the white flag of the Han army to the white flag of Mongolia.
Later, when Liu Lintu's grandson Jin Liangshi was demoted to a third-class light vehicle lieutenant for some reason, all the way to Liu Jia's father Benzhi. Ben Zhi entered the army as a third-class light vehicle lieutenant, basically serving in the military circles, and later became the general of Jiangning, and Daoguang returned to the Beijing Division as the commander of the capital after succeeding to the throne, and died of illness soon after.
In the third year of Jiaqing, Liu Jiashi participated in the Eight Flags Draft as a Mongolian white flag showgirl, and was successfully selected by the emperor and given the title of Xin Guiren. It is worth mentioning that in this draft, two show girls were also selected by Jiaqing, but Jiaqing did not include them in his harem, but dedicated them to the Nearly Ninety-year-old Emperor Qianlong, one was the later Jin Concubine, and the other was Shou Guiren.
Compared with his father Qianlong, the emperor of Jiaqing was indeed a lot more stingy than his father Qianlong in terms of concubines, but it was somewhat similar to his grandfather Yongzheng, and one of the ends was that there were relatively few concubines in the harem of the Jiaqing Dynasty, and according to statistics, there were only eight concubines above the concubines, including the empress. Fortunately, Liu Jiashi is one of them.
In April of the thirteenth year of Jiaqing, Jiaqing Xitian Emperor's eldest grandson (Emperor Mianning's eldest son Yiwei), who was promoted to the harem concubine, had an edict:
"Look up to Meng Hao Cang Hongyou, Liesheng Ci'en, on this day the emperor's eldest grandson, Yun Rong Zhaoqing, YiYe Yanli." The next year coincides with the 50th birthday of the Yuan, the longevity is still frequent, and the xun is an auspicious and happy event, and it is allowed to add a hui gong and use Zhao Fu Rui. Concubine Jia Enjin was crowned concubine, Ji Concubine was crowned Concubine Zhuang by Jia Enjin, and Jia Enjin was crowned as Concubine Zhuang by Xingui. The official woman of the second brother, the Narra clan, was crowned as a side room Fujin, and all the canonization ceremonies were handled as usual. ”
It can be found that the concubines, concubines and xingui who were awarded the title this time were concubines, while several other lords of the inner court, such as the chun concubine Dong Jia, such as the concubine Niu Hulu clan, and An Chang in the Guar Jia clan, did not receive the jin title. Why?
Concubines and Concubine Ji are both old people of jiaqing qiandi, and concubines Dong Jiashi, such as concubines Niu Hulu and An Chang in the Guarjia clan are new people who entered the palace after Jiaqing succeeded to the throne. However, generally speaking, in the family lineage of the noble Liu Jiashi, she should be designated as the Jiaqing side Fujin. Moreover, there is no description of "Qinggong" or "Hidden Residence" in Liu Jia's book, so in general, Liu Jia's promotion this time is considered to be favored.
In August of the 25th year of Jiaqing, the newly succeeded Daoguang honored Liu Jiashi as Imperial Concubine Kaoxin, and as a result, Liu Jiashi became one of the four concubines of Jiaqing, the other three being Concubine Shu, Concubine Hua, and Concubine Zhuang.
However, Liu Jia's health has not been very good, and just two years after she was honored as a concubine, she died of illness in the Qing Palace at the age of 40, and was subsequently buried in the Changling Concubine Garden.
