The true meaning of feng shui is mentioned in "Feng Shui Dispelling Confusion": "The art of feng shui is probably not based on the situation and the direction. Those who speak the situation are now called the body, and those who speak in the direction are now called rational qi. "The working people in ancient times were very superstitious about feng shui, from the commoners to the pawns, up to the princes and nobles, they attached great importance to the theory of feng shui. From the construction of ordinary houses to the burial of the deceased, or the site selection of the capital, the construction of imperial tombs, feng shui has penetrated into the lives of the ancients.
For feng shui is the most important thing is the royal family, where each dragon vein is generated, there will be the so-called true dragon Tianzi, so in order to prevent the threat of the rule of the dynasty, some dynasties will set up a special department to monitor the world's feng shui to monitor the world's dragon vein. In the past, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered Liu Bowen to cut off the dragon vein in the world, but why did Liu Bowen turn around and leave when he arrived at Changbai Mountain?
The worship of the dragon by the Chinese nation is beyond doubt, as the totem of our Chinese nation, the dragon has a very special position in our minds, and we are also known as the descendants of the dragon. Ancient emperors were known as the True Dragon Heavenly Son, and their clothes were embroidered with dragon-shaped patterns, and various carvings adopted the shape of a dragon, and it is not difficult to see people's worship of dragons.
In ancient times, only the royal family was generally eligible to use the dragon, and the rest of the people who used it would be regarded as a rebellion. However, there is another thing that is also related to dragons, that is, the mountains and rivers in nature. In feng shui, feng shui scholars often use the name of a dragon to indicate different mountain trends, ups and downs, etc.
In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Cao Cao and Liu Bei cooked wine on heroes, and one of the passages is that Cao Cao talked about the changes of the dragon, the change of the dragon, the ability to be big and small, the ability to hide and appear, and the ability to fly and dive. And those undulating mountains are like dragons, so these twisting mountains are called "dragon veins".
There is a mountain in China that seems to have its shadow in all myths, that is, Kunlun Mountain, which is said to be the sojourn of the Queen Mother of the West, the real immortal blessed land, and in the hearts of the Chinese nation, Kunlun Mountain has an extraordinary status.
With the development of science and technology, the so-called dragon vein theory is too mysterious for us modern people. However, although modern people advocate science and do not believe, the ancients were very superstitious. For example, Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, once ordered Liu Bowen, a think tank around him, to cut off other dragon veins after he ascended the throne and became emperor.
Liu Bowen was diligent and studious in his early years, which can be described as full of talent, but living under the dark rule of the Yuan Dynasty, Liu Bowen has never had the opportunity to usher in development, so Liu Bowen, who did not meet in the future, did not usher in the person who really appreciated himself until the age of 48, that is, Zhu Yuanzhang.
Although Zhu Yuanzhang was born poor and illiterate, he himself was very willing to learn and reuse talents, and Liu Bowen's full talent finally had a place to show. In the process of following Zhu Yuanzhang, Liu Bowen also frequently contributed to the establishment of the Ming Dynasty.
In Zhu Yuanzhang's decisive campaign, Liu Bowen even proposed to Zhu Yuanzhang the decisive strategy of "first destroying Chen Youyi, then destroying Zhang Shicheng", which finally enabled Zhu Yuanzhang to completely unify the world. In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang officially became emperor. After becoming emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang's mind also changed, and he began to be a little wary of his subordinates, especially Liu Bowen.
On the eve of Zhu Yuanzhang's claim to the throne, Liu Bowen spoke to Zhu Yuanzhang that there were stars of confusion, there might be disasters, and it was possible to use the method of committing crimes and handling unjust, false and wrongly decided cases to avoid disasters. Because of this, Zhu Yuanzhang became more and more uneasy about Liu Bowen after he became emperor, and has been deliberately suppressing him.
It is rumored that Zhu Yuanzhang dreamed one night when he was sleeping that a golden dragon flew out of the distant mountain range, flew all the way, and crashed into the Golden Ruan Hall. Zhu Yuanzhang was awakened by this dream, and the ancient people thought that the dreams they made generally had an allegory, so they often looked for someone to interpret the dream. After Zhu Yuanzhang woke up, he hurriedly found Liu Bowen to interpret his dreams, and Liu Bowen said that there was a disaster slowly brewing, and the future would endanger the rule of the Ming Dynasty.
After Zhu Yuanzhang listened to Liu Bowen's interpretation of the dream, he immediately ordered Liu Bowen to go out and drain the dragon vein in the world, and only allow the existence of the Daming dragon vein to ensure the eternal existence of the Daming River. Liu Bowen carried out according to Zhu Yuanzhang's orders, and when he came to Changbai Mountain, he planned to release the dragon qi of Changbai Mountain, but then suddenly a blizzard fell from the sky, and Liu Bowen took this blizzard as a warning to the heavens, so he immediately turned his head and left.
The Jurchen clan that later replaced the Ming Dynasty was indeed prosperous in the northeast, and after Nurhaci established the Golden Kingdom, Changbai Mountain became the stronghold of jurchens. Later, after Emperor Taiji established the Qing Dynasty, Changbai Mountain became the land of Longxing in the Qing Dynasty.
However, these so-called dragon lands seem too mysterious to us modern people, after all, the change of dynasties involves too many factors, and the so-called "dragon vein" is just a myth made by the new dynasty to replace the old dynasty. We use the dragon as a spiritual totem, but still believe in science, and there is no conflict between the two.
