On January 18, China FAW released its latest brand LOGO logo and sales target for 2022. The new logo tends to be flat design, the shape is more concise, and the overall recognition is significantly improved. In terms of sales, the Group sold 3.5 million new cars in 2021, of which the annual sales of the Hongqi brand exceeded 300,000 units, an increase of 50% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 10 times higher than the industry average. In 2022, the Group will launch a number of new vehicles, hitting the annual sales target of 4.1 million units, an increase of 17.1% year-on-year.
As a benchmark for collective development, the Hongqi brand continues to sell well. Since 2021, the brand has continuously broadened its product matrix and launched a number of pure electric SUVs such as E-HS9, new H5, new HS5 and so on. Among them, the average monthly sales of the star model HS5 are about 10,000 units; the flagship model H9 is 40,000 units; and the full-year sales of the pure electric SUV E-HS9 are 5,400 units.
In the future, China FAW Group will continue to increase investment in its own brands, of which the Hongqi brand will at least launch a number of new vehicles including large-scale SUVs LS7, B-MPV, new HS3, H5, H6 and HS6. The high-profile B-MPV will be mass-produced in June this year. The exterior of the new car continues the iconic design language of the Hongqi family, including a straight waterfall grille and a through-type taillight set. In terms of power, this model is equipped with a 2.0T engine, and the transmission system matches the 8AT transmission. It should be pointed out that the Hongqi Festival, which was originally scheduled to be held on January 8, has been postponed to the april Beijing Auto Show, and the new models are expected to be released at the ceremony.
