On the Long March, Huang Jiajiao, like male warriors, was subjected to harsh tests. She came from a cold peasant family, hard-working, not to mention. She carried stretchers, delivered the wounded, transported grain and grass, and played the leading role of a female commander, becoming mulan in the army. On the Long March Road
In late October 1936, the West Route Army forcibly crossed the Yellow River. Huang Jiajiao accompanied the army to conquer Hexi and served as the company commander of the female soldier company of the General Hospital of the Red Army on the West Road. Immediately, a protracted and bloody battle with Ma Bufang's cavalry began. She and her comrades were indomitable and participated in a series of fierce battles such as Yishan and Nijiayingzi. Unable to break through in time, they lurked in the Qilian Mountains, maneuvering with the Ma Bufang cavalry that searched the mountains, relying closely on the local people, and using limited guns and ammunition to attack Ma Bufang and Ma Buqing's rangers. It was not until the spring of 1938 that the bullets were exhausted, and Huang Jiajiao and a dozen sisters were captured by Ma Buqing's troops. At this time, the Hexi War had been over for a year.
This summer, Huang Jiajiao and her sisters were escorted to Xining, humiliated and humiliated, and did not want to live... Ma Bufang organized her into an engineer battalion and sent her to Xunhua County, Qinghai. Under the watchful eye of the enemy, she and the captured male warriors participated in labor, built roads and opened up wastelands, and suffered from flesh and skin. When she was trapped in the enemy camp, she stayed the longest in the village of Zanbuhu in Xunhua County. Here, Ma Bufang asked the Red Army soldiers to build a mosque, and the Red Army soldiers carved sickles, hammers and red stars on the roof ridge, indicating that they would always maintain the style of soldiers.
Many years later, Huang Jiawei married his comrade-in-arms Li Rengui and made a living as a farmer in Xunhua. Like her, Li Rengui was a Sichuan Red Army exile in Qinghai. At the end of August 1949, when the news of the liberation of Lanzhou came, Huang Jiajiao and her husband Li Rengui gleefully organized the masses and beat gongs and drums to welcome officers and soldiers into Xunhua. On the day the officers and men entered the city, this female company commander of the Red Army stood tall and looked up, becoming the happiest person in the whole county.
