In 2021, as the epidemic continues, flights are broken, and ticket prices soar, trapping many people's footsteps back to China, and also crushing the confidence of many people to persevere, in 2021, we witnessed many incidents of Chinese unfortunately passing away in Cambodia, which made everyone sad and deeply powerless.
But at the beginning of 2022, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, there is a good news worth sharing with all the Chinese in Cambodia, and with the efforts of the Chinese Embassy and caring people from all walks of life, a compatriot who is ill in Cambodia successfully boarded the plane back to China.

His name is He Shuaimin, male, 32 years old this year, is a member of the Chinese who are seriously ill in Cambodia but cannot return to China immediately for treatment, and are forced to stay in Cambodia, and they are also the luckiest ones.
On the morning of January 19, 2022, He Shuaimin independently embarked on the flight back to China, which deeply encouraged countless people, and seemingly a simple small step was the result of long-term difficult training and support for him, and it was also a transformation from giving up the hope of life to regaining confidence.
He Shuaimin was able to successfully return to China
Can't do without them!
The earliest known name He Shuaimin is a blood donation proposal from the China-Cambodia Volunteer Team, on September 7, 2021, the China-Cambodia Volunteer Team issued an urgent call for help: a Chinese compatriot needs long-term hemodialysis due to severe renal failure, due to severe ischemia, urgently need to donate blood to save lives in Cambodia. The Chinese compatriot was He Shuaimin, who was treated at the China-Cambodia First Hospital for kidney failure.
Subsequently, two Chinese compatriots who paid attention to the news immediately rushed to donate blood, saving his life for the first time. On September 19, 2021, the news of the re-ischemia came from the hospital, the China-Cambodia volunteer team once again helped him organize blood donation, and 2 other caring people donated blood for him again to save his life.

In addition, because He Shuaimin's mental condition was very bad at the beginning, he could not stand and could not walk, he ate and drank All the time in bed, and because he did not have the confidence to treat the flight back to China, the China-Cambodia volunteer team also specially sent volunteers to take care of him.
According to President Zhu, He Shuaimin was sent to the hospital by the company, slightly better than others, and the boss of his company was still quite affectionate, and he had been paying for his hospitalization and dialysis and return to China, which was a considerable amount.
Suffering from severe renal failure, the need for long-term hemodialysis, and the poor mental state, doctors have repeatedly thought that he may die here like other seriously ill patients.
But He Shuaimin lived a miracle, not only insisting on it for many months, but even relying on himself to take the flight back to China. What exactly made him change so much?
One ticket and one homecoming belief
Let He Shuaimin regain the hope of life
It is understood that around November, president Zhu of the First Hospital of China and Cambodia learned that He Shuaimin had always wanted to return to China, but had not been able to buy a ticket, and then President Zhu helped many parties to run and ask for help, at the same time He Shuaimin also asked for help from the embassy, and finally won a Cambodian Airlines return quota on January 5 under the coordination of the embassy, and the members of the China-Cambodia Volunteer Team helped to process and submit all the information on November 28, and received a reply on November 30, but the airline had clear requirements for its boarding conditions. He Shuaimin faced a new dilemma.
Since He Shuaimin is a seriously ill patient, in addition to preparing all the case information, he must meet the basic boarding requirements if he wants to apply for return to China. He was a kidney patient with dyspnea, there was no way to put a flat chair in the cabin for him to lie down and rest, he had to be able to sit for 3.5 hours, and he had to ensure that no medical support was required during the process. You must also have the ability to take care of yourself, record a video of the process of walking for more than 1 minute, do not rely on others, and have to walk independently. Only those who meet these basic requirements are eligible to apply for a ticket, otherwise the application cannot be completed.
According to the volunteer who took care of him, He Shuaimin was like a different person after hearing that he could have the opportunity to apply for a return to China, in the face of the basic requirements of these applications for returning to China, the state of the whole person was different, the whole person could not walk before submitting the air ticket application, he could only stand for a while, his legs and feet were swollen and weak, he ate and drank Lasa all over the bed, and he could not do without people who needed to be taken care of all day.
When preparing the application materials, with the belief and hope of returning to China, he began to become different, he began to try to get out of bed and walk, what he could do on his own no longer needed help from others, often practiced walking in the ward and corridor, went to fetch water and went to the bathroom by himself.
Previously, because the First Hospital of China and Cambodia did not have the conditions for dialysis, he was sent to other hospitals for dialysis treatment, but then he reported that he was not used to the environment there, so he returned to the First Hospital of China and Cambodia, where he was treated daily and went on dialysis twice a week. After learning that there was hope for his return to China, he was very active in taking a car to go to dialysis, and because the cost of going to dialysis ambulance was too high, he also chose to go by tuk-tuk.
It is not easy to return to China during the epidemic, and it is inseparable from the help and support provided by the volunteers, helping him apply for materials before and after running, and escorting him all the way back to China to help him check in for boarding materials. Due to the cancellation of the previously scheduled flight on January 5, they postponed their flight back to China to January 19, which is today.
At present, He Shuaimin has successfully taken a flight to Chengdu, after more than 3 hours of flight in the morning, they will land in Chengdu for 14 days of isolation and observation, after lifting the isolation, if it goes well, He Shuaimin will be able to reunite with his family during the Spring Festival this year.
He Shuaimin's story is undoubtedly tortuous, he is undoubtedly unfortunate, working abroad but unfortunately seriously ill, but he is lucky, there are China-Cambodia volunteer team, China-Cambodia First Hospital, volunteers and people who donate blood to help, more importantly, under the coordination and communication of the embassy, Cambodia Airlines gave him a quota of air tickets to regain his belief in survival, and finally ushered in a happy ending.
In this way, we also encourage all ordinary people who are persisting in Cambodia and compatriots struggling on the line of life and death, at any time, we must not lose our faith and confidence, in the face of the epidemic and difficulties, we must have the psychological preparation for protracted war and the belief that we must win. #柬埔寨 #
