During the two sessions of Jiangxi Province in 2022, Zhao Hengbo, member of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, suggested that the cultural education of chinese medicine in primary and secondary schools should be effectively strengthened from the aspects of strengthening top-level design, building a communication platform, and strengthening coordination and linkage, and promoting the culture of traditional Chinese medicine throughout national education and integrating into production and life.

Jiangxi traditional Chinese medicine culture has a deep and long history. Relying on the cultural resources and talent advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, Jiangxi has laid out earlier and achieved better results in the cultural education of traditional Chinese medicine in primary and secondary schools, forming a relatively mature education system and operation mode.
Zhao Hengbo introduced, since 2013, Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with "Chinese medicine culture into the campus" as the starting point, has taken the lead in building a new model of Chinese medicine culture education that integrates colleges, middle schools, and primary schools in the country, cultivated the "Trinity" education system, the "six learning and three communists" teaching system and the "two-way through" operating mechanism, built a national-level primary and secondary school Chinese medicine culture education information teaching application practice platform, and built a networked, digital, intelligent, personalized and lifelong Chinese medicine culture education system. It has attracted the extensive participation of more than 100,000 teachers and students from 6 colleges and universities and 22 primary and secondary schools in the province.
"Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has opened an experimental class on integrated Chinese medicine culture and education in primary and secondary schools, benefiting more than 5,000 students." Zhao Hengbo introduced that the school has successively set up experimental classes of traditional Chinese medicine culture education in Wanli First Primary School, No. 1 Middle School, and Nanchang No. 16 Middle School: Qihuang Enlightenment Class (Primary School), Qihuang Junior Class (Junior High School), and Qihuang Xinglin Class (High School). At the same time, the school has carried out a series of high-level talents such as the cradle class of traditional Chinese medicine at the undergraduate level, the scientific research practice class of traditional Chinese medicine, the strong class at the graduate level, and the refinement class.
In 2021, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Action of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Dissemination (2021-2025)", deploying "promoting chinese medicine culture through national education and integrating into production and life", taking "further enriching the cultural education of traditional Chinese medicine in primary and secondary schools and enriching the form of traditional Chinese medicine culture into schools" as the main goal and important task, pointing out the direction and path for the protection, inheritance and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture.
Zhao Hengbo suggested that efforts can be made from three aspects to strengthen the cultural education of traditional Chinese medicine in primary and secondary schools.

It is recommended that the Jiangxi Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Provincial Department of Education take the lead and support, Chinese medicine colleges and universities take the lead, scientific research institutes and medical institutions coordinate, and primary and secondary schools participate, and promote the establishment of a set of efficient and orderly and sustainable operation mechanisms that are in line with local realities.

-- Strengthen coordination and linkage, and improve the mode of educating people. Establish a "government-university-institution-primary and secondary school" linkage platform for educating people; establish a coordinated operation mechanism with Chinese medicine colleges and universities as the main body, increase the cultivation of chinese medicine communication talents; guide and support primary and secondary schools to build cultural venues and facilities, and enhance the endogenous power and supply capacity of primary and secondary schools.
