It has been exactly 40 years since my father, Zhu Zhengke, left us, but my father's voice and smile are still vivid in the hearts of the four of us.
His father, Zhu Zhengke, was born in March 1924 in Chahe Village, Fangqian Town, Junan County, Shandong Province, and served as the leader of the village anti-Japanese militia in 1942 and joined the Party in February 1944. In August 1945, he joined the army and came to the 5th Regiment of the Second Division of the Shandong Military Region. He has successively served as a soldier, squad leader, platoon leader, company deputy instructor, company instructor, battalion deputy instructor, and deputy section chief of the Ordnance Section of the 113th Division.
In the journey of following the troops to the south and the northern war, in February 1947, three times to the south of the river, Rongli struggled three major feats; in March 1947, in the battle of Zasangtun, because he led the whole platoon to fight heroically, Rongli fought three major merits. In April 1947, his father was awarded the honorary title of "Model of Loving Soldiers" by the 1st Column, and was awarded the honorary title of "Model of Fighting" and "Mother of Soldiers" by the 2nd Division. The platoon and class he led were awarded the glorious titles of "Zhu Zhengke Comprehensive Model Platoon" and "Zhu Zhengke Unity Model Class" respectively.

During his lifetime, my father rarely mentioned his glorious deeds during the war years to us, and when we asked him, he only told us about his combat experience in a few words. Most of the understanding of his deeds is slowly learned by visiting the old comrades who were assigned to Ningxia with him and reading the battle history of the 113th Division and the 338th Regiment.
My father's impression in the hearts of our brothers and sisters has always been that he is a person with a "very stupid mouth", and it is also very interesting to feel that such a stupid comrade has always served as a political work cadre. I really can't imagine my father doing ideological work for the soldiers. However, after reading the exemplary deeds of my father who cared for and cared for the soldiers in the history of the 338 regiment, patiently educated and transformed the thinking of the backward comrades in the transformation class, and led the soldiers in the squad to bravely pursue and capture half a company of the enemy and surrender nearly 70 guns, I also felt that if I were a soldier in my father's company, I would also be convinced of such an excellent instructor. During the war years, the prestige of Communists really did not depend on their mouths. Being able to take the lead in doing something, it doesn't take a thousand words, and it will naturally win the respect and recognition of the warriors. From the two combat heroes that his father had brought, Qian Bowen and Lin Wanchun, we could see the continuous inheritance of this excellent party spirit among the commanders and fighters of the 338 Regiment.

Comrade Qian Bowen was reorganized from the local troops into his father's class; this comrade was very "mischievous," sneaking out of the camp to go down the street to get off the restaurant, picking a bunk when camping, and telling strange things when marching, but his father was humble and tolerant in life, and he tracked down education and talked about his heart in politics, and from the bottom of his heart, comrade Qian Bowen was inspired, turned him into a Communist Party member and a brave combat hero, and also succeeded his father as the squad leader of the "Zhu Zhengke Unity Model Class." In the Battle of Sidaogou in the south of the Three Lower Jiangnan, Comrade Qian Bowen rushed into the enemy's stronghold and captured 24 enemy people. After becoming the head of the class, Comrade Lin Wanchun, who was even more "naughty" than he had been in the class, qian Bowen inherited his father's work style of teaching by example more than words, encouraged and led the comrades of the whole class to care about and help Comrade Lin Wanchun, let Comrade Lin Wanchun change his face, and changed from a troublemaker who threatened to "march thirty miles and dare not guarantee that he would not be left behind" into a model of combat and joined the party.
