According to the "Fine Arts Newspaper", Mr. Dai Xiaojing, consultant of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, librarian of the Shanghai Research Museum of Literature and History, and national first-class artist, unfortunately died in Shanghai on January 4 due to illness at the age of 70. Gansu Chenggong Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute and Lanzhou Chenggong Art Museum expressed their deep condolences for Mr. Dai's death and expressed their condolences to Mr. Dai's family.

Before his death, Mr. Dai Xiaojing was a director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the secretary general of the Appraisal and Rights Protection Professional Committee of the China Book Association, the vice president of the Chinese Calligraphy Famous Cities (Hometown) Association, the consultant of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, and a national first-class artist.

Mr. Dai has made great achievements in the history of calligraphy, since 1984 in Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Publishing House, Jiangsu Ancient Books Publishing House, Shanghai Education Publishing House, Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House, Calligraphy Research, Chinese Calligraphy, Art World, etc. Important ones include: "Biography of Wu Hufan", "Calligraphy Creation" (in cooperation with Zhou Zhigao), "Cultural Celebrities of the 20th Century and Shanghai Wu Hufan", "Kang Youwei and the Qing Dynasty Epigraphical Movement", "Severe Thinking", "Erwang Calligraphy" and so on. In 2003, his paper "Reflections on the Variation of Contemporary Book Style Forms" won the third prize of the Literary and Art Review of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

His calligraphy works have been selected for the third and fourth national youth exhibitions, the eighth and ninth "national exhibitions", "international book fairs" and "international book exhibitions". In 1997, he was awarded the title of "National 100 Young and Middle-Aged Artists of Virtue and Art Shuangxin" by the Central Propaganda Department and the China Federation of Literature and Literature, and participated in the "National Symposium of 100 Young and Middle-aged Artists of Virtue and Art Shuangxin" at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. In 2007, the large-scale series of books "Collection of Works of Representative Calligraphers of The Haipai School" won the National Government Book Award and the Shanghai Publishing Award. In 2008, he was a member of the 11th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In November 2018, the 7th Member Congress of Shanghai Calligraphers Association hired Dai Xiaojing as a consultant.

Mr. Dai's calligraphy has been influenced by the modern "Hai Pai" calligrapher Qian Skinny Iron, and his works inherit the Wei and Jin dynasties, and the overall layout of the works is rigorous, the strokes are smooth, the turns are smooth, showing a flowing and flexible, calm attitude, and often show their strength and backbone.

Berjaya Art Museum and Mr. Dai Xiaojing were associated with the exhibition "100 Annual Figures of Chinese Contemporary Calligraphy" held by The National Cheng kung art museum 10 years ago, and then exchanged and cooperated with Mr. Dai, and the Cheng Kung Art Museum also has a number of Mr. Dai's calligraphy masterpieces, all of which have now become the legacy of future generations.
