In the face of a country full of holes in the revolutionary years, countless benevolent and righteous people stepped forward and forged the new Great Wall of the Chinese nation with their flesh and blood.
Chairman Mao said: "Women can stand up to half the sky," and in the course of the founding and development of the republic, countless outstanding women have made tremendous contributions to the independence and rise of the nation. Among them was such a female revolutionary martyr, who had been arrested by the reactionaries for betrayal by traitors, and had suffered all kinds of cruel punishments, and her daughter had also been killed by the enemy, and after all kinds of torture, her will was still as strong as steel, and she always refused to yield to the enemy.
At the end of the last century, Shuai Mengqi was born in a poor peasant family in Longyang, Hunan Province, studied at the Zhounan Girls' School in his youth, got ideological enlightenment, and then interrupted his studies because his family could not afford the tuition, and went to a civilian factory to work as a female worker. During the May Fourth period, a new trend of thought swept the country, Shuai Mengqi was influenced by her husband Xu Zhizhen, began to contact Marxism, during the teaching of Hanshou Girls' Primary School, she met more progressive teachers, in 1926 she officially joined our party, and then led the revolutionary work of cracking down on local tyrants and bullies in Hanshou County.
In the summer of 1930, after graduating from the Eastern University, Shuai Mengqi took the initiative to ask Miao to go to Shanghai to work, where she went deep into the masses of workers in the spinning mills, publicized the anti-Japanese salvation, organized the workers to form an anti-imperialist alliance, and supported the troops in the anti-Japanese resistance. During that period, there was a terrifying white atmosphere, and Shuai Mengqi skillfully maneuvered with the enemy with her alertness, and she did not flinch even in the face of death threats at all times.
However, due to the betrayal of the traitors, in October 1932 Shuai Mengqi was arrested by the reactionaries, and the enemy used various inhuman poisons on her, pressing bars, sitting on a tiger stool, pouring kerosene into the eyes, nostrils, ears and mouth, which was simply useless, but even if he was abused to the point of blindness in his left eye, his leg bones were also broken, and Shuai Mengqi, who had long been dead, never said a word and refused to reveal the secrets of the semi-sub-organization to the enemy. In 1933, the reactionaries sentenced Shuai Mengqi to "life imprisonment" and imprisoned her in a prison in Nanjing.
In 1937, the organization successfully rescued Shuai Mengqi, who had been imprisoned for more than four years, from prison, but as soon as he was released from prison, Shuai Mengqi was hit hard one after another. She first learned that her daughter had been poisoned by the enemy, then met her mother who had been driven mad, her father was also expelled from her hometown, and her husband in Moscow thought that she had died in prison and re-established a family.....
"Killing me will only make me stronger", this series of changes did not knock down this female warrior with an iron will, she faced her unfortunate life, and then devoted all her energy to the cause of fighting for the motherland and the people. At the end of 1937, she became acquainted with the organization and began to serve in the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, responsible for the work of the organs and women's work, and later led the revolutionary struggle in Yiyang, Changde and other places, and made many outstanding achievements. Two years later, she went to Yan'an, where she held a heavy post in the holy land of revolution, and during the "rescue movement" she organized and led the screening work, and with her highly responsible spirit and realistic style, nearly eighty comrades who had been wrongly treated returned to the embrace of the organization.
After the death of her only daughter, Shuai Mengqi never had a biological child in her life, but she was the mother of many people. When she was in Yan'an, she adopted and cared for many martyrs' orphans, she took Shen Shaofan's daughter Shu Wei with her and treated them like her own daughter, and other children she often took them to the house, using her monthly savings to save money and save the allowance to make a table of delicious food for the children and increase nutrition. She treats these children carefully and meticulously, and gives the children full of warmth with selfless maternal love. Not only that, in addition to taking care of the children of martyrs, she also had to take care of the children of cadres who were busy with revolutionary work during the war years. It was also during that period that Shuai Mengqi got a great and warm title - "Handsome Mother".
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Shuai Meng Qi worked in the Central Organization Department, during her tenure she was always conscientious and selfless, and she often went down to the grass-roots level to listen to the opinions of the people, and many cadres were willing to reflect problems to her, and were deeply loved by comrades inside and outside the party. One day in 1950, Shuai Mengqi was sorting out the information when someone suddenly shouted "Handsome Mother" outside the office. It was none other than the chairman's eldest son, Mao Anying, who was on his trip to inform his handsome mother of a message that he was going to the Korean battlefield to defend his country.
Shuai Mengqi was very worried about Mao Anying's imminent departure to the battlefield, but Mao Anying was full of ambitions to serve the country, and she also understood that Mao Anying had grown up and had her own responsibilities and responsibilities, so she did not stop it, but told her in a serious tone: "We must be careful on the battlefield!" ”
Later, after learning the news of Mao Anying's death in North Korea, Shuai Mengqi was devastated and not only cried, but also became seriously ill.
After retiring in her later years, the handsome mother, who knew the importance of education, devoted her energy and enthusiasm to the cultivation of youth education and young cadres, and almost donated all the savings she had accumulated over the years to social welfare, and she always lived a simple life.
In 1998, the handsome mother of 101 passed away, and according to her last wishes, everything was lost to Jane, and her ashes were scattered in the place where she had fought in her life.
