It is understood that our province will launch a comprehensive reform of general college examination enrollment in 2021, and form an examination enrollment model of classified examination, comprehensive evaluation and multiple admissions by 2024.

When the first-year students who enter the fall of 2021 take the college entrance examination in 2024, the total score of the candidates is composed of the results of the three unified examination subjects of Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages, and the results of the three academic level selective examination subjects selected by the candidates. The selective examination subjects of high school academic level are considered by students as a whole to consider the needs of the country and society, according to their own ambitions, strengths and interests, according to the school running conditions, characteristic advantages and academic guidance of high schools, combined with the specific requirements of relevant majors (professional categories) of enrollment colleges and universities, first choose 1 in physics and history, and then choose 2 from ideology and politics, geography, chemistry and biology. According to their own educational positioning and professional training goals, colleges and universities put forward the requirements for selected subjects from the six subjects of physics, history, ideology and politics, geography, chemistry and biology, according to the majors (professional categories) enrolled in Anhui, and announced them in advance.
A few days ago, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Ministry of Education, in accordance with the requirements of the "Guidelines for the Requirements for The Selection of Subjects for Undergraduate Admissions to Ordinary Colleges and Universities (General Edition)", the colleges and universities in Anhui have compiled the requirements for the optional subjects of each enrollment major (professional category). In order to facilitate the reference of the 2021 ordinary high school students in our province when selecting subjects, the requirements for the major selection of ordinary colleges and universities to be enrolled in Anhui in 2024 are hereby announced, and the relevant situation is explained as follows:
I. In 2024, a total of 2198 general colleges and universities are planned to be enrolled in Anhui, including 1207 undergraduate colleges and universities, and a total of 67043 requirements for the optional subjects of enrollment majors (professional categories), of which 37680 are undergraduates.

The requirements for the selection of subjects for college admissions majors (professional categories) announced this time are applicable to ordinary high school 2021 students in provinces that implement the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination for reference when selecting subjects. It should be reminded that since colleges and universities have not yet prepared the 2024 enrollment plan in Anhui, the colleges and universities, majors (professional categories) and their optional subject requirements for the actual enrollment in Anhui in 2024, and whether the relevant majors (professional categories) of colleges and universities will arrange the enrollment plans for physics subjects and history subjects in our province respectively, and there may be new colleges and universities or enrollment majors (professional categories) in 2024 to arrange enrollment, therefore, the universities, majors (professional categories) and their optional subject requirements that are actually enrolled in our province at that time. The enrollment plan for physics subjects and history subjects shall be subject to the information released by the Provincial Education Admissions Examination Institute in that year.
Third, in 2024, the general college entrance examination in our province will implement the "3+1+2" model, in addition to the three unified examination subjects of language, mathematics and foreign language, candidates will first choose 1 subject in physics and history as the preferred subject, and then select 2 subjects from ideology and politics, geography, chemistry and biology as the re-selection subjects. The requirements for elective subjects proposed by universities can be divided into four categories:
The first category is that there is no requirement for both the preferred subject and the re-selected subject, that is, "no subject requirements", indicating that the candidate whose preferred subject is physics or history, and the candidate who re-selects the subject is any 2 subjects can apply.
The second category is only for the preferred subjects, such as "Physics (1 subject candidate must choose to apply for the exam)", indicating that the preferred subject is physics, and the re-selection subject is any 2 subjects.
The third category is only for re-selected subjects, such as "Chemistry (1 subject candidate must choose to apply for the examination)", indicating that the preferred subject is physics or history, and candidates who choose chemistry for the re-selection subject can apply for the examination; such as "Chemistry, Geography (candidates for 2 subjects must be selected to apply for the examination)", indicating that the preferred subject is physics or history, and candidates who choose chemistry and geography for the re-selection subject can apply for the examination.
The fourth category is the selection requirements for both the preferred subjects and the re-selected subjects, such as "Physics, Chemistry (candidates for 2 subjects must be selected to apply for the examination)", indicating that the preferred subject is physics, and the candidates who choose chemistry can apply for the examination; such as "Physics, Chemistry, Geography (candidates for 3 subjects must be selected to apply for the examination)", indicating that the preferred subject is physics, and the candidates who choose chemistry and geography can apply for the examination.
4.
