Why is the electronic information industry the first choice to build an industrial innovation cluster? Data show that in 2021, Suzhou's industrial output value above designated size will reach 4 trillion steps, and the electronic information industry is the first industry in Suzhou with an annual output value of more than one trillion yuan, with an industrial output value of 1,162.3 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year, accounting for 28.1% of the total industrial output value of Suzhou. Among them, the key technology and complete set of high-density and reliable electronic packaging projects jointly implemented by Huatian Technology and Innolux Technology were awarded the first prize of the 2020 National Science and Technology Progress Award; Kunshan Liantao Electronics successfully created a national enterprise technology center; Wistron Capital and Bosch Automobile built a global "lighthouse factory"; Hengtong Optoelectronics and Lake Electric built a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory; 9 enterprises were awarded the national manufacturing single champion...

Promoting the election of the conference in Kunshan is also intentional. Last year, Kunshan achieved a total industrial output value of 1,028.45 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8% year-on-year, becoming the first county-level city in the country with a total industrial output value of more than one trillion yuan. Among them, the electronic information industry has obvious advantages, with an output value of 554.62 billion yuan, accounting for 53.9% of the industrial proportion, and the output value of Kunshan's electronic information industry accounts for 47.7% of the relevant output value of Suzhou, which is almost half of the country, and it is also a manufacturing base for electronic information products with global influence.

At present, Kunshan has formed a complete industrial chain of electronic information integrating raw materials, panels, modules, complete machines and equipment. Among them, the midstream new flat panel display industry occupies an absolute advantage, with large enterprises such as AUO Optoelectronics, Guoxian Optoelectronics and Longteng Optoelectronics; the national Kunshan Optoelectronic Industrial Park, as an important carrier for the development of new display industries in Kunshan, has become an important panel production base in the country. Among them, AUO Optoelectronics is the world's top three large size LCD panel manufacturers, in 2021, AUO Optoelectronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. completed the output value of 6.95 billion yuan, an increase of 49.5% year-on-year, the capital increase of 1.8 billion US dollars for upgrading production lines and expanding production capacity, the company's annual output value will exceed 10 billion yuan after the new project reaches production.

On this basis, in order to support the development of a new generation of information technology industry innovation clusters, Kunshan released the "six ones" support system at the meeting, which will take the construction of electronic information industry innovation clusters as a breakthrough point, focus on formulating a set of industrial planning, introducing a set of industrial policies, innovating a set of investment mechanisms, docking a number of large institutes, setting up a number of industrial funds, and creating a number of high-end carriers. For example, on the basis of docking a number of large courtyards and institutes, Kunshan will also set up a number of industrial funds such as the Kunshan Industrial Development Guidance Fund with a total scale of 10 billion yuan and the Kunshan Taiwan Businessmen Development Fund with a total scale of 5 billion yuan to promote the construction of industrial innovation clusters.

At the same time, Kunshan electronic information industry has a data is declining. At present, the proportion of processing trade in Kunshan's electronic information industry has dropped from 65% to less than 45%, and this industry in Kunshan is transforming and upgrading from the past manufacturing to innovation. Kunshan will vigorously implement the "strong core bright screen" project, and continue to grow artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things new growth pole, by 2025, Kunshan will strive to exceed 200 billion yuan in the output value of the optoelectronic industry, the output value of the intelligent terminal industry exceeds 300 billion yuan, and the output value of the advanced computing industry exceeds 100 billion yuan.
