The sculpture was created by Chinese artist Huang Jian, who is the world's first "Emissary of Olympic Art" awarded by the International Olympic Committee, and his new series of sculptures as a national ceremony was presented by Yu Zaiqing, Vice President of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, to Greek President Katrina Sacraloplu, IOC President Thomas Bach, Greek Olympic Committee President Spiras and Mayor Olympia. IOC President Bach praised the sculpture as a great symbol of light, unity, friendship, peace and justice, and will become a beacon of hope for human solidarity in the fight against the epidemic.

According to another report, among the official licensed goods of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the 5 Winter Olympic-themed sculptures created by sculptor Zhang Hua - "Flying", "Heart in Flight", "Soaring", "Soaring" and "Bullet Without False Hair" are also produced by Shanxi Yuda Bronze Culture and Art Co., Ltd. The themes of these five works include snowboarding, freestyle skiing, figure skating, and the representative snow sports project "biathlon", which have achieved the perfect presentation of the artist's design concept in the production process.
