Course Introduction
Today's society demands Chinese talents. The only way to improve the level of language is to draw nourishment from ancient and modern literary classics.
On the one hand, this course inherits the fine tradition of Chinese literature and cultivates students' cultural literacy; on the other hand, through the accumulation of literary knowledge, improves students' language level. In order to enable students to keep pace with the times and develop multi-angle and comprehensive analytical skills to enhance their competitive advantage in various industries in the future.
The curriculum is designed to deepen students' understanding of ancient and modern Chinese literary classics, update students' understanding of the development of literary research, and improve students' professional knowledge and Chinese ability of Chinese literature through reading and analyzing literary works, as well as professional training in academic research, and broaden their cultural cognition and horizons.
✦ This course is suitable for those who aspire to engage in Chinese literature research, Chinese education, mass communication and cultural work, administration and other industries.
✦This course has been approved by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong as an "Accredited Degree Programme majoring in Language Subjects".

This course is taught in face-to-face format and will be held on weekday evenings or Saturdays.
The degree is completed in two years on a full-time basis in one year and part-time study.

# When taking this course, students are required to submit a research proposal and approve it.
Employment prospects
Some of our graduates have a wide range of paths, some of them are engaged in education, media, literary and artistic creation, private institutions, Chinese administration in Hong Kong and mainland China, and some students choose to continue their postgraduate courses including doctoral degrees in the mainland, Hong Kong, South Korea and other overseas places. In addition, some students won representative literary criticism awards during their studies, such as the recognized "Chinese Literary Creation Award" organized by the Hong Kong Government.

Before coming to Metropolitan University, I completed a Master of Laws or even a Doctorate. There is training for Advance, thesis logic, etc. But both big demands on my papers and research actually increased the strength and hardness. A large number of high-quality teachers, teachers and friends, with a high degree of responsibility, give students a high degree of emphasis and discipline in terms of research methods, innovation and accuracy of annotations. During his time at the school, he benefited greatly from courses such as Classical Literature, Hong Kong Literature, Taiwanese Literature, Philology and Research Methods. His masterpiece "Paranoid Side" was nominated for the 26th Taiwan Golden Melody Awards for Annual Song. He has participated in the creation of a number of film and television music soundtracks, including "Kyushu Muyi", "Qin Shi Liren Mingyue Heart", "Three Lives three pillow books", "Thirty Only" and so on.

Personal deeds
He once taught at a first-class middle school in Guangdong Province, served as a class teacher and Chinese teacher, and won the honor of outstanding educator in Guangzhou. Chinese teaching, he is good at guiding students to write, and has won the first prize of the municipal excellent composition instructor. After graduating with a Master of Arts, he was registered as a Certified Teacher in Hong Kong in 2016 and taught Chinese and Mandarin at Kwan Tsui Secondary School in Hong Kong. He enrolled in the Education University of Hong Kong in September 2020 and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Pedagogy (Language Education).
