Square has launched pixel replicas of classic Final Fantasy titles over the past period of time, and after the release of the first five games, the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VI pixel replica will also arrive. Previously, the news was that the game would be released in February, and now the date is specifically set on February 23.
Square announced that a Pixel Fork of Final Fantasy VI will be released on February 23 for PC (via Steam) as well as for iOS and Android. This replica will feature redesigned 2D pixel graphics, acoustic music rearranged by original composer Nobuo Uematsu, gameplay improvements, a modern UI, auto-combat options, other music players, galleries and monster atlases, and much more.

With the release of this game, all 6 Final Fantasy Pixel Forks will run on PC, iOS, and Android. Se has previously said that if there is enough demand, they will consider bringing the series to other platforms, and there is news that the series will land on the Nintendo Switch this year.
