On February 25, Beijing time, AITO Automobile's first model, the M5, which is positioned as a medium-sized pure electric SUV, was officially launched, and the new car launched a total of three configurations, priced at 249,800-31.98 million yuan, which is not much different from the pre-price of 250,000-320,000 yuan announced at the end of 2021.
The shape of the M5 basically inherits the dynamic and smooth body contour of the Cyris SF5, but compared to the latter, it has made relatively more restrained and concise modifications in the details, such as the more traditional banner grille in the middle net, and the light group shape on both sides of the front bumper is not as ostentatious as the Cyris SF5.
The body size of the M5 is 4770*1930*1625mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2880mm, which is a relatively standard mid-size SUV size, but thanks to the smooth body line and the tail design similar to a coupe, it does not look heavy, but very sporty. The narrow and long through taillights are also in line with the current popular aesthetic.
The design of the M5 cockpit is regular and layered, while the application of a large number of leathers in Nappa leather seats and center console makes its luxurious atmosphere quite in place; the 10.25-inch instrument screen and the 15.6-inch central control screen highlight the technical sense of the interior. It is worth mentioning that the M5 is equipped with harmonyOS intelligent cockpit, and its interactive experience, response speed, imaging effect, and function coverage are superior in the car-machine system.
In terms of power, the M5 series adopts a range extender hybrid system, which is composed of a 1.5T four-cylinder supercharger + drive motor + 40kWh ternary lithium battery, and the cruising range can reach 1100km and the pure electric cruising range under the WLC test conditions in full oil and full power.
The rear-drive model is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 200 kW (272 hp) and a maximum torque of 360 Nm; the two four-wheel drive models are equipped with AC asynchronous motors on the front axle and a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle, and the maximum power of the four-wheel drive performance model system is 315 kW (428 hp) and the maximum torque is 720 Nm; and the maximum power of the four-wheel drive flagship model system is 365 kW (496 hp) and the maximum torque is 675 Nm.
