Wei Ling, graduated from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree, and now works at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the China Gongbi Painting Society, a director of the Hubei Gongbi Painting Society, and a professional painter of the Hubei Provincial Chinese Painting Academy.
He graduated from the 2021 China Artists Association National Major Theme Art Talents Seminar, and the 2021 Ministry of Culture and Tourism National Academy of Painting Academy young and middle-aged creative backbone training class.
His fine art works have been selected for many times in the Hubei Provincial Art Talent Training Project, the Hubei Provincial Art Creation Key Support Project, and the Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Outstanding Literary and Artistic Talents Database for Young and Middle-aged People. His fine art works have participated in more than 40 national and provincial professional exhibitions. His works are collected by Hubei Art Museum, Wuhan Art Museum and other professional institutions.
Flower affairs and Zen mind

Good art often embodies spiritual values and inspires life, not just the work itself. The wisdom of traditional Chinese literati painting lies in the fact that it is not aimed at appreciating beauty, but reflects its humanistic care and inquiry through the creation of realms and unique philosophical thinking. It is a world of emotions, beyond visual enjoyment and depiction of the objective world, in pursuit of an eternal and universal "great feeling of eternity".

Draw a thing, not in this thing. Dongpo drew bamboo with a Zhu pen, and the person who saw it said: "Is there a Zhu Zhuye in the world?" Dongpo said, "Is there a Mozhuye in the world?" Dongpozhi asked rhetorically, saying in a word Chinese the true nature of human painting. Jing Hao proposed to "measure the image of things and take their truth". Painting is the use of Danqing's brush to present objective portraits, so as to express the painter's understanding and concern for the nature of the world. The landscape in Chinese landscape painting is not a materialized landscape, but a landscape that integrates the inner spirit of life. Bada Shanren painted a bird, a stone and a flower, painting his faint and clean spirit in the midst of suffering. Chen Laolian painted a plantain, borrowing that the plantain is a Buddhist magic object, which conveys the ancient atmosphere that Lao Lian's art has diligently sought to transcend birth and death.

Looking at Wei Ling's works on the theme of women, there is both the gentleness and generosity of Confucianism and the innocence and simplicity of Taoism. The immersion of his Taoist Zen philosophical thought is vaguely visible. The images of "lady", "picking flowers" and "holding lotuses" only provide a kind of opportunity, but in fact, it is not a woman's love of flowers, but a life situation of "a little red hand self-picking, people pity people who pity people". The "flowers" in the painting are empathized, personified, and depicted. Buddhism and flowers have a deep cause, and in Buddhism, flowers are called "hua", which contains infinite wisdom. In one flower, you can also glimpse the six spirits of the flower: generosity, taking vows, forbearance, perseverance, meditation, and pranayama. The six paramitas are an important method of Dharma practice. The author turns the flower of this hue world into a flower on the other side of the eternal spiritual world that is not dirty, impure, non-colored and non-empty, and the flower of Prajnaparamita.

The vanilla beauty at the bottom of Wei Ling's wrist has the fragrance, purity, weakness and cuteness of the flowers, fading away the wind and dust of the world, and taking a day of innocent leisure. It has the beauty of Zen that does not eat human fireworks and transcends the mortal world. It has both the warmth and beauty of the world, and the solemn and compassionate Buddha-nature. With a clear and childish brushwork, the use of skillful white painting techniques, in the corner of the eyebrows if there is a subtle point that seems to be nothing, "write the eyebrows are wonderful and energetic", showing Wei Ling's grasp of the temperament of the character "God". In the picture, the clouds flow and the lines of Wu Dai Dangfeng are given an independent aesthetic meaning, and the delicate clothes flutter like dances, and the employment of Tingyuanna is as promised. The characters are dignified and atmospheric, their posture is plump and graceful, and they have the charm of the Tang Dynasty, but they do not have a little vulgar powder, which changes the emaciated and morbid beauty in the paintings of the ladies. It shows the spiritual temperament of tranquility, indifference, holiness, peace and forbearance.

"Lotus" is an important symbol in Wei Ling's works. The white elegance of the lotus flower symbolizes the sacredness, purity and auspiciousness of the Buddhist teachings. The lotus comes out of the mud without staining, and has always compared the Buddha to the "lotus of men", not tainted with the troubles and sorrows of the world, stepping on the lotus flower to purify all sentient beings, giving people the enlightenment of the liberation of the saints. The lady holding the lotus conveys the painter's reflection on the ultimate existing problem in philosophy, trying to answer it with classical schemas and religious convenience. "Lotus" is like the gentle veil of the beautiful person in the painting, shrouded in a delicate Zen, and it seems to be a heart lotus that never ends in the heart of the painter, in the appearance of a disturbed world, reverently searching for the door of truth. Flowers and Zen hearts are beautiful.
