Taking stock of the photos, the memories of twenty days came to the face, there was the cold of the heart, there were tears of joy and tears, and even the leek fragrance wafting from the mouth of the champion...
However, the most impressive thing is the Olympic spirit that burns on the snow and ice. Because of hard work, ice and snow can also make people's blood boil, and failures and regrets can also shine.
In my shots, they enjoy victory and reconcile with mistakes. Do your best and everyone is amazing.

From the barbecue stall to the Olympic champion podium, Xu Mengtao's life "counterattack" road is full of thorns. The tears that flowed in the middle of the night, the sweat that spilled in the snow, the pain left by the fall... In the end, it was a happy ending.
▲ On February 14, in the freestyle ski women's aerial skills competition, Xu Mengtao, the "elder of the four dynasties" of the Winter Olympics, won the gold medal with a high score of 108.61, after winning the championship, Xu Mengtao wore a national flag and shouted four times in a row: "Am I the first?" After waiting for sixteen years to realize his dream, Xu Mengtao's emotions were also thoroughly expressed.
When the award was awarded, Xu Mengtao held the gold medal in his hand, and tears flowed on his face. I pressed the shutter and hid behind the frame to wet my eyes.
▲On the evening of February 15, the awarding ceremony of the freestyle ski women's aerial skills medal was held in the Zhangjiakou Division Awards Square. Memories go back to the morning of February 2,
The moment I stepped on the Winter Olympics train,
It also officially kicked off my 20-day Winter Olympics.
▲The Winter Olympic train passes through the Juyongguan Tunnel, and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway undertakes the transportation task of connecting the three competition areas of Beijing and Zhangjiakou.
The train passes through the Yanqing Race Area,
In the distance Haituo DaiXue,
The five-ring tower comes into view,
The Winter Olympics are really coming!
▲ Haituo Pagoda in Yanqing Division, the Olympic rings at the top of the tower are particularly dazzling, standing in the mountains of Yanqing, Beijing, echoing the National Alpine Ski Center in the distance.
After 50 minutes, arrive at the Zhangjiakou Division.
20 days, single-soldier combat, need to overcome low temperature weather, commuting to and from multiple venues and other challenges, but also "grab" the best shooting angle, constantly weigh the priority and secondary, learn to trade-offs, fight physical strength, more fight technology.
▲Zhangjiakou Has hosted six types of snow sports such as biathlon, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic biathlon, freestyle skiing and snowboarding at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Pressure is motivation, and watching athletes perform miracles on the field makes the difficulties in front of them seem insignificant.
Once committed, I will forget about shooting, pay tribute to the Olympic athletes with the lens, and also use images to convey the emotions on the field.
▲ On February 5, the National Cross-Country Skiing Center produced the first gold medal of the Winter Olympics.
struggle
I like this sentence very much: "The significance of the Olympic Games is by no means limited to the struggle for gold and silver itself, but not afraid of the obstacles of age, not afraid of the blow of failure, not afraid of the strength of the opponent, so that the tension of life, the brilliance of human nature, the smoothness of hard work, condensed into a race moment of competition that blooms one by one, with the will to never give up and the attitude of struggle to adhere to the dream, together constitute the shining spiritual background of the Olympic Movement." ”

Don't give up
The Olympic arena is always full of infinite possibilities, and where there is victory, there is defeat.
My camera follows the winner and also records those imperfect moments.
Falling and getting up is an attitude in itself.
▲ On February 11, in the final of the men's U-shaped field skill of snowboarding, the 35-year-old "elderly" Sean White finally missed the medal due to a mistake! ▲ On February 16, the men's freestyle skiing aerial skills final, Jia Zongyang made the last jump mistake and missed the final round. Tidbits
In addition to the competition, I also left a lot of "tidbits",
These images, which are not easily seen in the press, are also part of the event.
▲ A masked competitor is competing in cross-country skiing.
▲ At Genting Ski Park, the coaching staff from Australia lie in the "snow sofa" between competitions and enjoy the winter sun bath.

▲ At the award ceremony, a gold pier was placed in the snow of the award ceremony.
▲ The volunteer insisted on providing services for the contestants at low temperatures, and when he stuck to his post on a snowy day, an ice cream formed on the eyebrows of one volunteer.

Come true
One city, two Olympic Games.
The holding of the Winter Olympic Games has made Beijing the only city of the world with two Olympic Games, and has also branded my life with the "double Olympic mark".
When the 2008 Summer Olympics were held, I came to Beijing for the first time as an Olympic volunteer. Olympic volunteers in the province can be described as "one in a thousand miles", and the opportunity is rare. And this opportunity unexpectedly became the starting point of my photography career.
I remember that during my volunteer service, at my permanent fencing arena, I always couldn't help but look at the photojournalists on the sidelines, full of curiosity and envy, "Your present is the future I want." "I secretly made a wish, and a seed of being a photojournalist took root.
▲When the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics were held, I was still studying at university and came to Beijing as an Olympic volunteer.
From the Summer Olympics to the Winter Olympics, after 14 cold and hot summers, I went from being a green teenager at that time to approaching the year of confusion, becoming a professional photojournalist as I wished, and embarking on the big stage of the Winter Olympics.
▲ Forced to "one-eyed" shooting. Photo by Lu Lin
ps:
Filming the winter project, the photojournalist wearing glasses was too unfriendly, forced to "one-eyed" shooting, the exhaled heat met the cold and ice, and the mask next to the camera was "glued" to the camera countless times.
Thanks to my friends for recording the "囧樣" for me, which is also the most real working state of photojournalists.
"List of equipment I bring with me for the Winter Olympics"

Recording history and conveying emotions is the mission entrusted to me by my profession. The experience of shooting at the Winter Olympics not only added a lot of color to my career, but also made me more determined in my career choice, and only love can do better. In Beijing, the city of the Double Olympics, I will take more stories and record more touching.
