The Treasure Cabinet of the National Art Museum of China has recently been replaced with a new exhibition. This exhibition selects a total of 19 Pieces of Chinese Paintings with the Theme of "Offerings to the Qing Dynasty" in some collections, as well as classic oil paintings and sculptures, which together form a rich and diverse exhibition structure, reflecting the poetic pursuit and spiritual pleasure of Chinese for the aesthetics of life, and highlighting the eternal beauty of art and nature. The exhibition will run until 31 July.
In 2016, in order to continuously expand the utilization of the collection, the National Art Museum of China made various attempts to transform the 6-story exhibition hall into a "treasure cabinet", which specially displayed the fine works of the collection and attracted many audiences to punch in regularly. This is also the first time since the establishment of the National Art Museum of China that a long-term exhibition hall has been set up.
"Confidence comes from the culture, and the treasure of the town hall cannot really be in the storeroom." Wu Weishan, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and director of the National Art Museum of China, said: "When the National Art Museum of China opened in 1963, Premier Zhou Enlai gave instructions in the early days of the museum to dispatch troops to protect the works in the museum. The good works created by artists should be preserved in the world, and even more should be passed on to the world. After the works cannot be collected by the art museum, 'lying' in the warehouse, not exhibiting for decades, the art museum people must activate the works in the collection and give full play to the true value of the works. ”
In order to realize the audience demand that can see the treasure of the town hall when he goes to the art museum, Wu Weishan vigorously promotes the opening of the 6th floor of the exhibition hall into a "treasure cabinet", according to the characteristics of the exhibition hall, showing the best small collection of the National Art Museum of China, so that the public can see the works of the master at any time and free of charge, known as the "jewel in the crown".
Since the completion of the "Treasure Cabinet", it has been deeply welcomed by the audience. Many people are surprised that this small hall can bring together so many masterpieces at the same time, and there are doubts about whether they are reproductions. Wu Weishan said: The National Art Museum of China does not exhibit replicas, and the exhibited reproductions are equivalent to "false singing", and a country's art museum must be true. In the exhibition hall of the National Art Museum of China, in front of the people's bright eyes, there is no level of artist status, only the height of the art of the work.
