DICE has confirmed that the latest patches for Battlefield 2042, including updated scoreboard features, will be released on March 8, local time.
In addition to the updated scoreboard, the version 3.3 update includes various bug fixes, control and keybinding changes, and the release of the "Firm exclusive Legends" bundle. This bundle of skins, melee weapons, and player cards will be available to battlefield 2042 gold, ultimate, and year 1 pass holders as compensation for the game's first season content delays.
DICE also said that the game's next update after the 3.3 update, currently scheduled for release in early April, will introduce support for voice chat. "It will include a larger set of changes and fixes, as well as the introduction of voice capabilities for squads, with an updated scoreboard at the end of the round," the studio said. ”
"We are also targeting changes in the balance of vehicle weapons, including the MC5 Bolte, as well as overhauling the accessories of infantry weapons."
In a recent blog post, DICE outlined how it would change the way its maps were designed after battlefield 2042's poor state of maneuvering. Based on feedback from players, DICE says it has identified five major issues with the game's existing map design and intends to improve them in the coming months.
DICE also said that the new Battlefield 2042 map developed for future updates will be smaller than the game's existing map.
