Tesla is raising prices again!
On March 10, according to the information on Tesla's official website in China, many of Tesla's models announced price increases. The price increase is 10,000 yuan.
Specifically, the price of the Model 3 high-performance version has been adjusted to 349,900 yuan, an increase of 10,000 yuan over the original 339,900 yuan; the price of the Model Y long-lasting and high-performance version is 357,900 yuan and 397,900 yuan, respectively, up 10,000 yuan.
This is not the first time that the price of domestic Tesla has increased. From last November to March this year, Tesla has adjusted its price three times. In the past 2021, Tesla has raised prices in China 8 times.
Taking the Tesla Model Y high-performance version model as an example, on March 24, 2021, the price of the Model Y model was raised by 8,000 yuan, from 369,900 yuan before the price adjustment to 377,900 yuan; on September 11, 2021, the price of the model was raised by 10,000 yuan to 387,900 yuan.
Recently, there have been BYD, Roewe, Wuling, Nezha, Xiaopeng, Weima and other car companies announced price increases. This specific move is mainly affected by factors such as the decline in subsidies for new energy vehicles, the rise in raw material prices, and the shortage of chips.
Among them, the increase in the price of raw materials is very pronounced. Take the price of nickel, a raw material, as an example.
Public data shows that the price of nickel has risen significantly. Public data shows that on Monday, the LME nickel quotation on the London Metal Exchange soared from $29,770/ton to $55,000. On Tuesday, nickel prices soared to $100,000 (about 630,000 yuan). At the beginning of 2020, the nickel price was only 10,000 to 20,000 US dollars (about 60,000 yuan to 126,000 yuan).
