In recent years, sales of new energy commercial vehicles have continued to increase. Urban buses have been largely updated to pure electric products; and in the medium and long-distance passenger transport market, pure electric buses have emerged. The pure electric van of e-commerce express shuttles through the streets and alleys. In the urban construction site, pure electric dump trucks come in and out, a busy scene; hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks have been galloping on the freight road.
On the occasion of the annual "3.15 International Consumer Rights Day", China Commercial Vehicle Network launched the special plan of "Emission Reduction and Quality Improvement New Energy Commercial Vehicle Development Inventory", focusing on the highlights of commercial vehicle companies in new energy products, production, sales and after-sales service. It aims to promote the continuous landing of new energy commercial vehicle products and make the new energy industry chain bigger and stronger. Continue to promote the high-quality development of the commercial vehicle industry in the field of new energy products. Jointly help win the "blue sky defense war" and help "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" be realized ahead of schedule.
On October 13, 2021, the unveiling and groundbreaking ceremony of INNER Mongolia Branch of SAIC Hongyan Automobile Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Jie Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd. was held in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, marking the official launch of the world's first 10,000-vehicle hydrogen energy heavy truck industry chain project.
The goal of carbon neutrality and carbon peaking not only promotes the acceleration of the conversion of new and old kinetic energy throughout the country and realizes the green and low-carbon development of the energy economy, but also promotes the acceleration of enterprise reform, especially the development of new energy vehicles by automobile companies. The Ordos new energy automobile industry chain project is a strategic project for SAIC To actively lay out the new energy heavy-duty truck industry.
It is reported that the total land area of SAIC Ordos New Energy Automobile Industry Chain Project is about 1200 mu. Among them, SAIC Hongyan Ordos New Energy Heavy Truck Base will create the first new energy heavy truck demonstration application project to achieve the strategic goal led by SAIC Hongyan New Energy Heavy Truck in northern Xinjiang. The first phase of the project mainly builds a new energy heavy truck assembly plant, test lanes and its supporting facilities, which is expected to be completed and put into operation at the end of 2023; the second phase of the project will build a new cab welding and painting workshop and further expand the assembly plant, which is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024. At the same time, the new energy heavy-duty truck base will build a data factory, fully introduce large-scale AGV intelligent production lines, and achieve an automation rate of more than 90%, so as to achieve full digital information management and flexible production capacity. The Ordos Fuel Cell Base of Jet Hydrogen Technology, the first phase of the construction of fuel cell engine systems and hydrogen system production lines, is expected to be put into operation in October 2022, and the second phase of the expansion of the fuel cell stack production line is expected to be put into operation in 2024. Through the application and replacement of SAIC Hongyan hydrogen energy heavy trucks, about 500,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced every year, and better help Ordos to build a "green hydrogen city in northern Xinjiang".
Since 2021, SAIC Hongyan has signed orders for nearly 6,000 new energy heavy trucks with strategic partners in Anhui, Hebei, Shanxi, Henan, Guizhou and other regions. In August, SAIC Hongyan won the "double champion" of new energy heavy truck sales and new energy tractor sales in the month with sales of 118 vehicles, and was also the only company in the new energy heavy truck market that broke through 100 sales in August. By the end of September, more than 1,000 vehicles had been delivered, accounting for about 20% of the market share. At the 2021 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference, SAIC Hongyan won the "Excellent New Energy Vehicle Enterprise Award", and its Hongyan Jieshi H6 tractor won the "New Energy Commercial Vehicle Popular Model Award". The order for 500 new energy vehicles in Ordos will be another important achievement in SAIC Hongyan's new energy journey.
In addition to continuously promoting the land of new energy products in terms of capacity construction and product launch, SAIC Hongyan has launched targeted product maintenance policies according to the use characteristics of new energy products and user needs.
