On January 14, SAIC Hongyan Ordos Base Tianlong Plant put into operation and the first batch of vehicles rolled off the production line ceremony. This marks that SAIC Hongyan has accelerated the construction of the Ordos New Energy Heavy Truck Base to a new level, and also represents another important step in the construction of the world's first 10,000-class hydrogen energy heavy-duty truck industrial chain project.
Yang Hanlin, deputy general manager of SAIC's commercial vehicle division, said: "Under the guidance of the national strategic goal of 'carbon peaking and carbon neutrality', SAIC Motor has actively laid out and continued to invest in the three technical routes of pure electric, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell on the one hand, and accelerated the launch of new energy vehicle products in the market; on the other hand, it has actively responded to the government's call to actively promote the landing and industrialization of the hydrogen energy industry chain through government-enterprise cooperation and cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain. Today, the commissioning of the Tianlong plant at the Ordos base will form a synergy with SAIC Hongyan's Chongqing manufacturing base to better meet the needs of the new energy heavy-duty truck market. At the same time, after the project is put into operation, It will further accelerate ordos to build the country's largest green hydrogen production and output base and fuel cell heavy truck application base, jointly promote the healthy development of the hydrogen energy industry in northern Xinjiang, and run the acceleration of high-quality development on the new energy vehicle track. ”
Department coordination, seize the industry opportunities
"As one of the enterprises that signed a new energy heavy-duty truck investment agreement with Ordos City, we SAIC motor is the first to land." According to He Zongjun, head of SAIC Hongyan Inner Mongolia Branch, the concerted efforts of various departments have taken only more than 1 month for SAIC Hongyan Ordos New Energy Heavy Truck Base Tianlong Factory to start construction to complete the transformation of the factory, and to install, debug and meet the production conditions of the whole vehicle.
It is understood that in Inner Mongolia, the winter climate is very cold, the minimum reaches more than minus 20 degrees Celsius, and saic tianlong plant was used as a warehouse before the transformation. "We came to measure it in September last year, and the indoor temperature was severely low, only 2 °C, and our minimum requirement was more than 10 °C. In addition to the heating system, the factory's fire protection, power supply load and other aspects can not meet the requirements of vehicle production, the workload is still not small. Xie Zhongxiang, facility manager of the project team of SAIC Hongyan Automobile Smart Factory, said.
At the end of August last year, SAIC Hongyan Inner Mongolia Branch finally selected a factory in Tianlong Industrial Park for factory renovation after inspecting a number of factories in Ordos, as a transitional factory for the next two years.
After the address was selected, the entire SAIC Hongyan related departments took action. "Now a lot of materials have a long preparation cycle, especially chips and the like, so we want to save some time in the process of purchasing the equipment needed by the factory." Originally, we needed to go through a weekly procurement committee before we could negotiate business and sign contracts with the relevant suppliers. This time, we directly gave the demand to the procurement department, and then cooperated with the procurement department to report directly to the relevant leaders. We need to contact the supplier in advance and let the supplier prepare the material in advance. The relevant person in charge of SAIC Hongyan said, "In addition, from the beginning of the drafting of the agreement, the legal department has been involved." In the past, we would always let the legal department review and go through the process after discussing with the partners. The full participation of the legal department this time saved us a week in the process of signing the agreement. ”
"Now many companies in the industry are aiming at this 'new track', the pace is very fast, this factory reconstruction as one of the supporting contents of SAIC Ordos new energy vehicle industry chain project, must be fast and good." The person in charge said.
It is reported that after the completion of the reconstruction, SAIC Hongyan Ordos New Energy Heavy Truck Base Tianlong Factory has a construction area of 10,000 square meters, using domestic advanced new energy heavy truck intelligent manufacturing equipment, and has been built into a new energy heavy truck production base integrating vehicle assembly, testing and shipment, which has an annual production capacity of 3,000 new energy vehicles.
By the end of 2024, the annual sales volume will be 30,000 units
"Inner Mongolia has sufficient photovoltaic and wind power resources, and can also provide lower-cost hydrogen, which has good economic prospects for the hydrogen energy industry." Secondly, under the guidance of the 'double carbon' strategy currently implemented by the state, the policies of Ordos City and the whole of Inner Mongolia are promoting the development of new energy heavy trucks and have a good political environment. In addition, Inner Mongolia and the surrounding Areas of Jin, Shaanxi, Ningbo and other regions have rich coal mineral resources, as well as a more developed chemical industry, the demand for heavy trucks is large, with good heavy truck application scenarios. This also explains why we want to set up a factory in Ordos. He Zongjun said.
A few days ago, a number of SAIC Hongyan heavy trucks equipped with the fuel cell system of Jie Hydrogen Technology have been delivered to users in Ordos City and officially put into operation on the road. "In the winter, the advantages of this car are revealed. Ordos is so cold, these heavy trucks can start normally, very powerful. A logistics master commented on SAIC's Hongyan fuel cell heavy truck. It is understood that the PROME P3X fuel cell system is a product launched by Jie Hydrogen Technology, one of the "little giants of science and technology" under SAIC, which has strong environmental adaptability, even in a temperature environment of -30 ° C, without external heating, it can be started within 30 seconds. In addition, the PROME P3X fuel cell system can reach 117 kW of power and a life of 10,000 hours.
In recent years, saicus Hongyan's pure electric, hydrogen fuel cell and other new energy heavy trucks have achieved good results. At present, SAIC Hongyan has launched three forms of hydrogen energy heavy trucks in the form of 4X2, 6X4 and 8X4, which fully covers special vehicles, tractors, engineering vehicles and other subdivisions, which can meet the needs of users in different scenarios such as urban sanitation, urban logistics, and coal transportation. According to Lou Jianping, general manager of SAIC Hongyan, at present, SAIC Hongyan has fully mastered the development technology of electric drive, electronic control and battery system, and has formed strategic cooperation with many new energy enterprises such as Shanghai Jie Hydrogen Technology, Lianchuang Electronics, Ningde Times, Yinlong New Energy and so on.
"According to the investment agreement signed between SAIC Motor and Ordos City, in the future, SAIC Hongyan Ordos Base will focus on the manufacture of new energy heavy trucks, and strive to achieve the first phase of the project in the first half of 2023 with the advantages of key core components such as Jie Hydrogen Technology, and complete the second phase of the project and put into production at the end of 2024, so as to achieve an annual production capacity of 30,000 heavy trucks and 5,000 fuel cell systems, and strive to achieve the sales target of 30,000 new energy heavy trucks by the end of 2024." The relevant person in charge said.
A number of major policies were released, and SAIC took advantage of the momentum
In recent years, the mainland has attached great importance to the development of fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen energy industry, and has included hydrogen energy in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" and the outline of long-term goals for 2035. At present, the mainland has carried out demonstration applications in many urban agglomerations in the field of transportation, especially in the scene of heavy vehicles and commercial vehicles.
Recently, in the just-concluded review of the second batch of fuel cell demonstration application city clusters in the country, the Hebei city cluster led by Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province and the Henan City Cluster led by Zhengzhou City in Henan Province were successfully approved. Previously, the three major demonstration city clusters of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong have been launched, and with the addition of the two urban agglomerations of Henan and Hebei, the domestic "3+2" fuel cell vehicle demonstration pattern has been formed.
"This form of demonstration will also provide us with a larger business scenario." By around 2025, the number of new energy vehicles in the entire fuel cell vehicle demonstration operation urban agglomeration is conservatively estimated to be 30,000 to 40,000. Optimistically, that number would reach 100,000 vehicles. Hou Zhongjun, deputy general manager of Jie Hydrogen Technology, said.
At present, the goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" will undoubtedly continue and deeply affect the mainland new energy automobile industry. Fuel cell vehicles as one of the important means to achieve the "double carbon" goal, SAIC began to lay out more than a decade ago.
During the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, SAIC motor achieved a six-month demonstration operation of 1,000 new energy vehicles, including 174 fuel cell vehicles, and set a record for good and stable safe operation. Represented by the first fuel cell car and MPV to enter the "Product Announcement Catalog" in China - Roewe 950 fuel cell car and SAIC Maxus EUNIQ 7 fuel cell MPV, over the years, SAIC motor has successively launched fuel cell cars, MPVs, light buses, light trucks, heavy trucks and other passenger car and commercial vehicle products, achieving commercial operation in 13 cities across the country, becoming the only enterprise in the world to realize the commercialization of multi-variety fuel cell vehicles.
Today, with the official operation of the Tianlong plant of SAIC Hongyan Ordos Base, SAIC has taken another solid step on the road of fuel cell commercialization. With the support of many policies, SAIC fuel cell vehicles will take advantage of the momentum and open up new growth space in the future.
