Ningbo, April 7 (Fang Kun, Liu Yuting, Zhao Xi) On the 7th, the "Mingzhou Qingtao - 2022 Ningbo International (China, Japan and South Korea) Contemporary Young Ceramics Works Exhibition" (hereinafter referred to as "Mingzhou Qingtao" exhibition) opened at the Ningbo China Port Museum. The exhibition received submissions from 504 artists from China, Japan and South Korea, and was supported by the IAC International Ceramics Association, the Korean Ceramic Society, the Kyoto Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan, and 13 universities in China. After preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation, a total of 179 works were exhibited.

Ningbo was called Mingzhou in ancient times, and since the fourteenth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1381), it was called Ningbo in the meaning of "Haiding Ze Boning". As one of the important ports of the Maritime Silk Road, Ningbo has historically been its main counterpart and trade with Japan and South Korea. Ceramic art is one of China's great creations, geographical advantages, the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese archipelago ceramic art of the creation and development of inheritance of China and unique, especially for the imitation and exchange of Yuezhou kiln, Longquan kiln, Ningbo is an important port of transfer.
The contemporary ceramic art of China, Japan and Korea has inherited its own historical context, aesthetic taste and spiritual character, and has formed its own form and appearance today.
In this exhibition, "Mingzhou Ask Pottery", ceramicists from China, Japan and South Korea show their exploration of the differentiation of ceramic materials through their works, and take this as an opportunity to strengthen the exchange and cognition between different cultures and promote the diversified development of ceramic art.

Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the exhibition works of Japan and South Korea participated in the exhibition of the main venue in China in the form of images, and the exhibits were concentrated in the South Korean sub-venue, and the main sub-venue was opened online and offline at the same time, artists and audiences from the three countries could communicate and share on the Internet, and nearly 20,000 netizens visited the exhibition through the Internet.
