In South Korea, films based on true events are a major feature of their film culture. Today I will recommend a few crime movies based on real events.
The first was the 2003 crime film Memories of Murder, based on the Hwaseong serial murders that plunged South Korean society into a panic in the mid-to-late 1980s. The enigmatic murderer, the enigmatic movie, the no ending is the best ending.
The second part is "The Frog Boy"
Based on a real case that took place in Daegu, South Korea, the film tells the story of five elementary school students who disappeared while catching frogs, and whose bodies were found 11 years later, and whose murder is still at large. The case, known as the "Frog Boy Disappearance Case," is known as one of South Korea's three unsolved mysteries, and when the film was released, it was still unknown whether the children were killed or missing. So a lot of things are imagined based on speculation. In 2011, the new film "Children" was released, which interpreted the case from another perspective, and the plot was more powerful and worth recommending.
The third part is "The Chaser"
The prototype of Chi Ying in the movie is Liu Yongzhe. Yoo Yong-chul, a man from a poor area of Seoul, South Korea, hunted and killed at least 19 people in a year, mostly elderly people from the affluent class in seoul, call girls and women who went to the door to massage, setting a "highest record" for South Korean criminals to kill people alone, becoming the number one serial killer in South Korean history. The rhythm of this movie is relatively tight and interlocking, the inaction of the police and the madness of the murderer will make people suffocate, a little bloody horror, especially when the criminal finally identifies the body is very cruel, the dog he raised in the yard will pull out a human hand at will, he himself has forgotten how many people were killed, buried where, people with bad hearts are not recommended to watch.
