The new BRZ is based on the Subaru SGP platform, with a significant increase in rigidity to meet the latest crash requirements, while offsetting the increased weight with more lightweight materials. The body size is 4280/1775/1310mm and the wheelbase is 2575mm. Compared with the previous generation, the length and wheelbase have increased by 40mm and 5mm respectively, and the height has been reduced by 10mm, which is really rare, after all, the height of the previous model is already very low, and it is not simple to reduce the height.
The exterior mirrors are two-color stitching, sleek shape, no side lights and side cameras, and the whole series is only equipped with reversing images. Exterior mirrors support electrical adjustment, folding and heating.

The 18-inch rim features matte dark grey spokes and a simple and fun ten-pointed star shape. The tire specification is 215/40 R18, matching the Michelin PS4 product, the tire itself has a good grip, but obviously the tire width is insufficient, and friends who love running tracks will modify wider tires. Manual transmission models can also cruise at a fixed speed, automatic models equipped with the third generation EyeSight driver assistance system, support full speed adaptive cruise, active braking and other longitudinal assistance, but there is no lateral control capability, can not achieve lane keeping and follow the car steering, only L1 level of assistance level.
The center circle of the dashboard and the left side is a liquid crystal screen, the right oil gauge is a backlit screen, the integration of the two is not bad, mainly the LCD screen UI interface is very small, the left side of the acceleration G value display picture frame is small, and the right side is balanced. In track mode, the LCD interface will highlight the speed and gear in a bar table, and the sense of track will explode in an instant.
The 8-inch central control screen border retains a lot of physical buttons, the screen pixel is low, the touch has a sense of lag, and it does not support the Internet, only through CarPlay and CarLife to connect the phone, this set of things is obviously 10 years ago, I don't know why it is still in use.
The air conditioning panel with independent control of the left and right areas adopts a knob + button combination, the red number is located in the center of the knob, which is more intuitive, the buttons are also made very large, and the convenience of use is relatively high.
The gear bar platform has not changed much, mainly because the base of the gear bar has been changed from a ring to a semi-wrapped type, and the body stabilization system and track mode buttons have also moved backwards near the seat heating buttons, and the buttons are still very large, even when driving intensely, they will not be wrong. The mechanical handbrake is very close to the seat, just on the right hand side, and is very handy when drifting.
The central armrest compartment slide is open, the interior is occupied by double cup holders, there are two USB ports in front, and the storage space is still tight.
The materials of the carriage are good, the center console is covered with imitation leather, the top of the door panel has turned fur, and the armrest has imitation leather. Frameless doors are also essential elements of sports cars.
Although the seat is not an integrated sports model, no one dares to say that it is not sporty enough. The first part in contact with the body is the more frictional Osvi suede, the sides are genuine leather, the lateral support is particularly adequate, and the shoulder support is also added. The most rare thing is that the minimum height of the seat is also 5mm lower than that of the previous generation model, the body fit is higher, the contact area is increased by 44%, and the seat frame is laser welded, and the use of lightweight materials also reduces its weight by 2.6 kg. The new car is equipped with a new 2.4L horizontally opposed self-priming engine codenamed FA24D, which uses an aluminum alloy cylinder head and cylinder block, mixed injection and oil supply, and a variable valve timing system for intake and exhaust.
