With the advent of the "domestic HPV divalent vaccine" independently developed by the mainland, the injection of HPV vaccine has set off a frenzy.
Especially affected by the development of the network in recent years, many so-called popular science videos or articles have seized this wave of heat, forcibly giving women the severity of HPV, and even marking the HPV virus infection and cervical cancer with a direct equal sign!
Before injecting the HPV vaccine, women are often screened for HPV + TCT to find out if the body is infected with the virus and the health of the cervix. Some women will start to panic after testing positive for HPV, worrying that they have developed cervical cancer, and even have a desperate mentality.
However, is HPV infection really equal to cervical cancer? wrong!
It has to be said that cervical cancer is indeed the only gynecological malignancy with a clear cause in the clinic, and the full name of HPV in the clinic is "human papillomavirus", which is a spherical double-stranded DNA virus with a diameter of about 55mm, which is mainly parasitic in the mucocutaneous epithelium of the infected person after infection, and then causes different lesions.
So far, more than 200 hpv viruses have been clinically found, of which at least 30 are related to lesions of genital tract mucosal infection. According to the degree of harm of HPV virus infection, the virus is divided into two categories: high-risk and low-risk.
The so-called low-risk hpv virus infection will cause diseases such as genital warts and common warts, such as type 6 and type 11 virus, which are common types.
The high-risk type of HPV virus is related to cervical cancer, the two most common types of high-risk HPV viruses in the mainland, that is, type 16 and type 18 HPV virus, nearly 95% of cervical cancer patients are related to infection with these two types of virus subtypes. The bivalent vaccine developed by the mainland targets these two viruses.
However, we must understand that infection with hpvic virus and cervical cancer cannot be absolutely equal!
Because any woman who already has sex can get the virus through sexual contact. Relevant research surveys show that nearly 80% of women have been in contact with the virus in their lifetime, especially in women during sexually active periods, and the infection rate will be higher. However, in most cases, the HPV virus is a hurried visitor of the body.
This is the case because there is a well-established immune system inside the human body. After infection, the immune system automatically turns on the defense mechanism, and in about 8-10 months, the body can completely clear the virus. Only 10 to 15% of infected people will be infected with the virus continuously. But even if you are infected with a high-risk type of HPV virus, you are not 100% cancerous.
Because HPV infection is only one of the factors, other risk factors include genetic inheritance, unhealthy sexual behavior, menstrual and childbirth factors, chronic cervicitis caused by sexually transmitted diseases, long-term heavy smoking and alcohol abuse, and so on.
Therefore, in these high-risk HPV virus persistent infection, only 1-4% of people will gradually develop precancerous lesions and cancerous lesions, which will take about 8-10 years or even longer.
Therefore, after being infected with the HPV virus, there is no need for women to be excessively desperate, but they should actively seek medical treatment and carry out the next step of examination to see if they need to cooperate with the doctor to start treatment and remove the virus.
Finally, we should remind everyone that even if you are injected with hpv drug vaccine, if you meet the high-risk conditions of cervical cancer, you also need to conduct regular cervical health screening every year to avoid cancer without knowing it.
