"Chinese Art Song Suite", a total of 20 ancient Chinese poetry works, was specially created by Dr. Liu Yintong, a young composer and teacher of the Composition Department of Tianjin Conservatory of Music, for Liu Yi and soprano Yang Lingzi.

Yi Liu, Lyrical Flower Soprano in the United States, Ph.D. in Vocal Music (D.M.A), School of Music, University of Missouri, USA.
Born in 1991 into a musical family, he studied vocal music and piano with his parents since childhood. In 2010, he was admitted to the China Conservatory of Music with excellent results, and studied under Professor Meng Fanhong, a famous Chinese vocal educator and soprano singer. In 2015, he was admitted to the Cleveland Conservatory of Music to pursue a master's degree in vocal opera performance, under the supervision of Professor Clifford Billions, a famous american vocal pedagogue. In 2022, he graduated with honors from the Vocal Opera Department of the University of Missouri School of Music (UMKC) with honors and received a Doctoral of Musical Arts. In 2022, he won the third place in the International Vocal Competition for Young MusicIans in the United States (the first place was vacant) and the fourth place in the London Classical International Vocal Competition (LCMC).
Since 2010, Liu Yi has participated in operas and held many concerts at home and abroad, and has successfully held nearly 100 concerts and opera fragments at the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the China Conservatory of Music. During his stay in the United States, he has won many generous scholarships and has been invited by many international music festivals such as the United States and Canada, including the "Miami International Music Festival (MMF)" and "Canadian UBC International Music Festival". In 2016, as the core founder of the Cleveland International Arts Festival (CIMF), Liu Yi successfully founded the first Cleveland International Music Festival in the United States and successfully held the Academic Exchange and Seminar Forum of Top Chinese and American Artists.
