Archips micaceana var.compacta Nietner, also known as the post-pseudohumised yellow curl moth. It belongs to lepidoptera, family Officinalis.
【Host】Citrus and other fruit trees.
【Harmful】The larvae are harmful to the young leaves, buds and young fruits of citrus, causing fruit fall.
【Morphological characteristics】Adult female adults are 8 mm long and have a wingspan of 18 to 20 mm; the insect body and wings are yellowish brown; the forewings have brown wavy lines, the front edge of the apex horn has dark brown nail-shaped stripes, the base of the leading edge is arched outwards, the outer edge hair near the apical angle is black, and the two wings are flat when resting, like a copper bell. The male adult is 7.5 mm long and has a wingspan of 16 to 18 mm; the forewing pattern is more complex, the base of the wing is light yellow, the leading edge is dark brown near the basal angle, the leading edge is 2/5 to the middle and lower middle and lower of the posterior margin, and the hind edge is the widest, and there is a nail-shaped black-brown marking in front of the near-parietal angle of the leading edge, and a light brown twill extending to the hip angle below it. The eggs are often arranged in scales of 140 to 200 fish, forming rectangular or oblong oval eggs, dark yellow, and a row of black scales on each side. The larvae are about 22 mm long. The head is russet brown, the thorax and abdomen are yellowish-green, the front and middle feet are black-brown, the hind feet are pale yellow, and there are black spots on each side of the posterior margin of the dorsal plate of the forebreast. Pupae are often russet brown.
【Living habits】Sichuan and Chongqing have one peak in mid-May and one peak in early June. Guangdong larvae mixed with the pseudo-small yellow leaf curl moth from April to May, as a flower pest, drilling the young fruit, causing flowers and fruits to fall, resulting in flowers and fruitlessness. After late May, it is transferred to harm the young leaves of adult trees or seedlings, and the silk folds 1 leaf or 3 to 5 leaves into buds, hides them as a pest, and then transfers it again in September to harm the fruit, resulting in a large number of fruit fall before citrus, which is similar to that of the pseudo-small yellow leaf curling moth and the brown-banded long leaf curl moth.
【Control method】 Refer to the control of brown belt long leaf curl moth. (1) Do a good job in clearing the garden and reduce the source of insects. (2) Use black light to trap adult insects. (3) During the flowering period, the first and second generations of adults of the leaf curl moth release red-eyed bees during the spawning stage, and release the bees 3 to 4 times per generation. (4) Before and after flowering, master the spray control of young larval stages. Agents can be selected: 50% octylthion emulsion 1000 ~ 1500 times liquid, 48% chlorpyrifos emulsion 1000 ~ 1500 times liquid, 4.5% high efficiency cypermethrin emulsion 1000 ~ 1500 times liquid, etc.
