Medicinal properties

1. Turtle, flat and ovate, 1.3 to 3 cm long and 1.2 to 2.4 cm wide. The front is narrower, the posterior end is wider, and the back is purple-brown, shiny, and wingless. The dorsal plate of the anterior thorax is more developed, covering the head; the ventral dorsal plate has 9 segments, which are arranged in a tile-covered arrangement. The ventral surface is reddish brown , the head is small , with 1 pair of filamentous antennae , often shedding , and the thorax has 3 pairs of feet , with fine hairs and spines. The abdomen has a transverse link. The texture is crunchy and brittle. It is smelly and slightly salty.

2. Jidi turtle, length 2.2~3.7cm, width 1.4~2.5cm. The back is dark brown , usually with pale yellowish-brown patches and small black spots on the margins.
