However, with the passage of time, the textbook has been continuously updated in order to adapt to the development of the times, and some works have been removed from the textbook and some have been selected. There was also a lot of controversy between this selection and removal. Just like the classic ancient text "Yugong Moving Mountains" that many people have learned when they were in school, the great poet Xi Murong once talked about it in a speech and suggested that it be removed from the textbook. Because the content of this article is not environmentally friendly and does not respect nature.
And this is not an isolated case, especially Mr. Lu Xun's articles, which were originally selected for many textbooks, such as "From The Hundred Grass Garden to the Sanwei BookHouse", "Social Drama", "Mr. Fujino", "Kite", "Remembering Liu and Zhenjun" and so on. But slowly some of these articles have also been removed from textbooks. Mr. Wen Rumin, editor-in-chief of all-Chinese Education, once gave an explanation for the removal of textbooks from some Lu Xun articles, saying: "The addition and subtraction of famous works in new language textbooks mainly considers whether they are suitable for today's middle school students and considers language. Some of Mr. Lu Xun's works may be too deep for today's middle school students, and they are not easy to understand. ”
I believe that everyone can understand such a reason. However, there are also some experts who propose to delete certain works for reasons that do not sound convincing, just as the great poet Xi Murong mentioned above suggested deleting "The Fool Moves the Mountain". Some versions of Mr. Lu Xun's famous work "The True Biography of A Q" have been removed from this article, but some versions still exist. Some experts suggest moving it out of textbooks.
Han Shishan, who is known as the "knife maker in the literary world", once called this article in the book "Less Don't Read Lu Xun, Old Don't Read Hu Shi", which is written about a rural wandering flirting with women who are flexible and money- stealing people's belongings, both insensitive and stubborn, and such articles are not only not helpful to middle school students, but harmful to them, so they are not suitable for reading in middle school language textbooks.
So does that make sense?
For such a statement, the author does not agree, if "A Q Zheng Biography" can only be understood to this extent, then in my opinion, it is really not read through it. To know that literary works are to be combined with the background of the time, "A Q Zheng Biography" was created in December 1921, when the country was in a semi-colonial and semi-feudal period, the society at that time had feudal, conservative, vulgar and other social characteristics, although many people lived in the water, but the long-term life has made them numb, such a state is undoubtedly pathological.
People long to see the truth, but they are afraid to see the truth. Mr. Lu Xun's "A Q Zheng Biography" is to combine the true personality characteristics that existed in many people at that time but were unwilling to face, and then gave birth to an image of "A Q". It was actually very much like a mirror, so that those who were insensitive at that time could see themselves clearly, make them ashamed, make them awaken, and make them know that they were insufficient and rise up. This is actually like a doctor seeing a patient, the first thing is to analyze and diagnose the disease, if the patient even has to block this step, unwilling to face, it is tantamount to "avoiding the disease".
Therefore, just reading this article on the surface, it is felt that students read it is harmful, and the work should be removed from the textbook, and such a reason is obviously insufficient.
In fact, Mr. Lu Xun's "A Q Zheng Biography" has been praised by Chinese and foreign celebrities since its publication, and after the 1915 Nobel Prize winner Romain Roland read the French translation of "A Q Zheng Biography", he praised this article as a "realist masterpiece" and also said that "during the French Revolution, there were also peasants similar to Ah Q". Mr. Mo Yan, the first Nobel Laureate in Literature in China, also said that "if I can exchange all my novels for a "Biography of A Q", I am very willing." Many well-known writers have also said in interviews that Mr. Lu Xun is the writer who has the greatest influence on them.
Therefore, "The True Biography of Ah Q" is not just a work about an insensitive rural gangster, and it is really unreasonable to say that it is not suitable for students to read on this reason. "The True Biography of Ah Q" has a very deep realism, just like Ah Q's so-called "spiritual victory method", is it only Ah Q, only the insensitive people of that era? I think we all have the answer in our hearts.
