This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of The Silence of the Lambs, and recently, lead actor Judy Foster shared her unforgettable experience of shooting this psychological thriller.
Debuting as a child star in Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver, and for it receiving his first Oscar nomination, Foster has had a long but successful acting career.
Of course, she's also known for playing FBI agent Clarice Starling in Jonathan Demi's The Silence of the Lambs.
Because of this role, Foster won the second Oscar for Best Actress after "Raiding Pear Blossom".
The Silence of the Lambs, based on Thomas Harris' novel of the same name, caused an immediate sensation upon its release.
The film is the only horror film to win the Oscar for Best Picture, and one of the few to win the "Five Awards" at the same time.
Foster won Best Actress, Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor, Demi won Best Director, and Ted Tarry won Best Creative Screenplay.
At the same time, the film also has two prequels, "Red Dragon" and "Rise of Hannibal", and NBC also filmed a sequel to the TV series "Hannibal".
Interestingly, for Judy Foster, the deepest memory of "The Silence of the Lambs" has nothing to do with the actual shooting.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, Foster mentioned her most memorable experience during filming.
It was during the Super Bowl party, and she told her that the songs on the portable stereo were dancing, and it was snowing outside...
"I think the most memorable thing I did when I was shooting The Silence of the Lambs happened during the Super Bowl party.
"I was the only one in the room, and I listened to the speaker, pressed the 'play' button when I wanted to listen to the next song, and started dancing.
"It's snowing outside pittsburgh, and that's the most memorable thing I've done during filming."
For Foster, the happy and fun time between shooting offsets the impact of her role in the film.
Her performance in the film shapes the classic, and the characters she portrays are bold and strong in the face of fear, allowing young FBI agents to embody her value.
Unlike his partner Hopkins, Foster never played the classic role again.
However, 30 years later, with the new CBS drama "Clarice" about to start, "The Silence of the Lambs" has once again caused a hot discussion.
In this series, Clarice is played by Australian actress Rebecca Blitz, expecting her to surprise us.
