Esports operator ESL FaceIt Group (EFG) announced that it has acquired esports technology company Vindex.

Vindex provides gaming, live streaming and esports analytics through its intelligent platform products, while the company also provides content production services for live events and tournaments.

Through the merger, ESL FaceIt hopes to increase its production capacity as an esports and gaming entertainment company covering the United States, Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan. The agency's current brands include ESL, FaceIt and DreamHack Sports Games.

The organization also hopes to create and expand the Dreamhack festival in the United States.

Craig Levine, Co-CEO of ESL FaceIt, said: "The combination with Vindex combines the power of our brand with a new scale of infrastructure and production capacity. Taken as a whole, this will help serve a new community of gamers and accelerate the promotion of gaming culture globally. ”

As part of the transaction, Belong Gaming Arenas will become a separate entity and will continue to operate independently.

Vindes' CEO Mike Sepso and Chief Strategy Officer Sundance DiGiovanni will continue in their respective roles, while the two will assume leadership roles at EFG.

Details of the terms of the transaction of the acquisition were not disclosed.

A year ago, Savvy Gaming Group, a subsidiary of Saudi Public Investment, acquired ESL and FaceIt and merged them into one company.
