author:Liang Jichao

Jiang Weishui (1891-1931), a native of Yilan County, Taiwan. In his early years, he studied medicine and opened a clinic in Taipei, but was influenced by Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary ideas to abandon medicine and enter politics. Because he upheld the spirit of uncompromising resistance to fight for the freedom of the Chinese nation, he was known as Sun Yat-sen of Taiwan and was regarded as one of the leaders of the anti-colonial movement during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. Jiang Weishui died young, and in the 40 spring and autumn of his life, he made the "four firsts" that influenced Taiwan's modern history.

(3) Founding the first political party in the modern sense, the Taiwan People's Party. The Taiwan People's Party is the first political party with a modern character in Taiwan's history, which was established in 1927 by Chiang Wei-shui on the principle that "compatriots must be united, and unity is really powerful." In the political, cultural, economic and other fields, it launched an unarmed struggle with the Japanese colonial authorities and set off the anti-Japanese national liberation movement of the Taiwan compatriots. After the establishment of the Taiwan People's Party, it set up 15 branches in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Dajia, Nantou, Chiayi and Tainan, with 456 members. Within the Taiwan People's Party, Jiang Weishui adhered to the development proposition of the class struggle between workers and peasants, opposed Lin Xiantang, Cai Peihuo, and others who advocated the "parliamentary line" movement, and always upheld the spirit of uncompromising resistance, which stimulated a strong national consciousness and sincere feelings for the motherland in the hearts of Taiwan compatriots.

In Taipei's Jiang Weishui Memorial Park, there is a bronze statue of Jiang Weishui, which holds a medical bag in the left hand and a book covered and wrapped in it in the right hand. The images of practicing medicine, giving speeches and propaganda, running around, and sleeping in the wind and eating cover the glorious life of Jiang Weishui' glorious battle. This is exactly:
