The 134th Canton Fair will be held in three phases in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, and the online platform will be operated on a regular basis. At present, the preparations for this Canton Fair are progressing smoothly.
According to reports, the scale of this year's Canton Fair reached a new high, and the total exhibition area expanded to 1.55 million square meters, an increase of 50,000 square meters over the previous session. The total number of booths was 74,000, an increase of nearly 4,600 over the previous session, including 72,000 export exhibitions and 1,550 import exhibitions.
According to the statistics of each issue and each exhibition area, there were 28,533 exhibitors, an increase of 3,135 over the previous session. Among them, 27,883 exhibitors were exhibited at the export exhibition and 650 were exhibitors from 43 countries and regions, of which 60% were exhibitors from countries jointly built by the "Belt and Road".
As of October 12, more than 100,000 buyers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered, and the number of attendees is expected to increase significantly compared with the 133rd Canton Fair.
Xu Bing, Deputy Director of China Foreign Trade Center: The scale of brand booths increased to 14,500, and the number of exhibition areas covered increased from 47 to 53. For the first time, a brand exhibition area was set up in five exhibition areas: industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles and smart travel, maternity and baby products, new energy, and pet products.
This Canton Fair is the largest optimization and adjustment of the exhibition since the 104th reform. A total of 7 exhibition areas were adjusted across periods, and the total number of exhibition areas increased to 55. In the first phase, the exhibition area of mechanical and electrical products such as home appliances, consumer electronics, machinery and equipment, and new energy increased by about 3,000 booths, of which the scale of the new energy exhibition area increased by 172%. The second and third phases respectively create the themes of big home and better life, and better display the products of the whole industry chain.
In order to support the smooth holding of this Canton Fair and do a good job in customs clearance services for personnel and materials entering and leaving the country, Guangzhou Customs issued the "Guangzhou Customs Support the 134th China Import and Export Fair in 2023 Facilitation Measures", introducing 16 specific measures such as sending personnel to the fair, extending the temporary entry period of exhibits, and allowing "exhibition and inspection synchronization".
