At about 10 o'clock in the morning, walking into the back kitchen of the "Happiness Cooperative" in Yantianshen Village, Lu Zhongfan, first secretary of the village-based task force of the Xian'an District Civil Affairs Bureau, and Duan Yong, a social worker, were cutting green peppers. Outside the kitchen, the village cadres of Yantianshen Village Bay washed and picked vegetables, and everyone divided up labor and cooperated to prepare for the public welfare meal at noon.
As the "chef" of this public welfare meal assistance activity, Lu Zhongfan cut vegetables, poured oil, put pots, stir-fried... Lu Zhongfan said that he likes to cook and has also obtained a chef's certificate, hoping that his craft can make the old people eat well and eat "happiness".
"Since July, we have held a charity meal once a month." Chen Huanzhi, secretary of the general branch of the party in Wanxiu Village, said that there are 29 elderly people over 60 years old in Yan Tianshen, and most of the old people's children are not around. After the establishment of the "Happiness Cooperative" in Yantianshen Village Bay in June this year, the village decided to use the cooperative site to strive for funds, and village cadres, cadres stationed in the village and social workers turned into "cooks" and "waiters" to hold a public welfare meal activity for the elderly in the village once a month, so that the elderly can gather, eat and chat, and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the left-behind elderly. Since July this year, the public welfare meal activity has officially begun, and since then the monthly public welfare meal activity has become the most anticipated thing for the elderly.

Since the public welfare meal activity was held in Cunwan in July, she has come to taste it every month, chat with everyone, and enjoy heart-warming services.
The 83-year-old Cai Rongsheng also gave a thumbs up when he talked about the public welfare meal activities. The elder Cai Rongsheng said that he originally had a house in Xian'an City District, but since the establishment of the Yantianshen Village Bay "Happiness Cooperative", he has come back more frequently, and the public welfare meal activity is an important moment to connect with everyone, so he has to come to participate every time.
Yesterday was also the Chongyang Festival, when the old people enjoyed the food, the village cadres took out the red envelopes that had been prepared long ago and delivered them to the old people one by one.
"The 'happiness cooperative' in our village is still in its infancy, and currently only 4 public welfare meal assistance, 3 free consultations, and 1 charity cutting activity have been carried out." Chen Huanzhi said that in the next step, the village will actively link and integrate various resources, raise public welfare funds, organize and carry out a series of public welfare, volunteering and mutual aid service activities, and provide care services for groups such as "one old and one small" in the village.
