IT House News on December 15 that this is not a joke. If you want to use Microsoft's latest Windows AI Studio tool, you'll first need to install Linux.
According to Microsoft's official GitHub page for Windows AI Studio, Microsoft recommends that users install Ubuntu 18.4 and later releases via WSL before using the tool.
IT Home reported in November this year that Microsoft launched a new "Windows AI Studio" experience for developers at the Ignite 2023 conference, which can simplify and accelerate the development of AI applications on Win11 systems.
Microsoft's official introduction to the "Windows AI Studio" tool is as follows:
Windows AI Studio streamlines the generative AI app development process by consolidating top AI development tools and models from catalogs such as Azure AI Studio, Hugging Face, and more, enabling developers to fine-tune, customize, and deploy state-of-the-art small language models (SLMs) for their Windows apps to use natively. The experience includes e2e guided workspace setup, model configuration UI, guided walkthroughs, and more, allowing you to fine-tune popular SLMs such as Phi, Llama 2, and Mistral, and developers can quickly test their fine-tuned models using Prompt Flow and Gradio templates integrated into the workspace.
