Nowadays, the global situation is tense, and there have been many local wars and conflicts, and if you look at the reasons for these wars and conflicts, you can see the figure of one country, and that country is the United States.
One of the most important reasons why the United States frequently stirs up contradictions is that the United States needs to use war and conflict to destroy the peaceful situation in order to achieve its goal of restoring US hegemony.
The United States has only been established for 100 years, but it has become a world hegemon, and the strength of the United States is beyond doubt. So why has the United States failed to hold on to the throne of world hegemon? Why did the hegemony established by the United States collapse in just 20 years?
Rise aggressively
In the mid-18th century, the United States was also a British colony, and it was not until 1783, after Washington's victory in the Revolutionary War, that the United States was officially born as a fully independent national sovereign state.
The United States caught up with the train of the industrial revolution and quickly completed the industrial revolution, and then the United States also embarked on the road of aggression and expansion.
The United States has obtained large tracts of land from France, Spain, Mexico, Tsarist Russia, etc., among which Mexico is the most miserable, and the United States has ceded 2.3 million square kilometers of territory in Mexico, which has directly led to Mexico's "collapse" and is now reduced to the backyard of American drugs.
With the exception of Mexico, the Indians have not escaped the hands of the United States, which has seized 6 million square kilometers of land from the Indians through unequal land transfer agreements and the use of force.
At the end of the 19th century, the territory of the United States spanned the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic, and from this time, the United States vigorously developed its military, and in the 20th century, the United States went to Asia with its naval strength and tried to occupy a place in Asia.
But the United States did not succeed this time, why?
Although the Soviet Union was a European country, in the 20 th century, the Soviet Union had a certain degree of control over Asia, and the Soviet Union would absolutely not agree to the United States wanting to meddle in Asian affairs. As a result, the United States and the Soviet Union secretly competed with each other, constantly "recruiting younger brothers" around the world to expand their sphere of influence.
In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, and the United States became the world's largest power and sat on the throne of world hegemon, and all countries in the world had to submit to the hegemonic system established by the United States.
During that time, the United States said nothing in the world, no country could oppose them, and the world formed a pattern of "one big family", and the United States sent US troops to all corners of the world to control the fate of some countries.
So why has the United States failed to maintain its hegemony?
Hegemony is established
A large part of the reason why the United States has been able to become a world hegemon in a very short period of time is that the United States will find the right moment.
During World War I, the United States waited until everyone was almost done before they joined the battlefield, and at this time, Britain and France and other countries had already been consumed too much by the war, and although the United States participated in the war, it did not consume much, and it also shared the fruits of victory.
The same is true of World War II, when other countries are at war, and the United States is selling weapons and researching nuclear weapons, and when the war is almost over, the United States will choose Japan as a test ground for nuclear weapons, so that the world can see the power of US nuclear weapons, and the United States will thus sit firmly on the throne of a world power.
Britain and France were no longer in their former glory, and although they still participated in international conferences, their status had significantly declined, and the Soviet Union and the United States were in the hands of the Soviet Union. Later, the United States won over the USSR and became the world hegemon.
Generally speaking, the United States was able to establish a hegemonic system and practice hegemonism almost entirely by relying on the "help" of two world wars.
US hegemonism can be simply divided into four major aspects: political, economic, military, and cultural.
Back in the eighties and nineties of the last century, things related to the United States can always arouse the pursuit of many people, many people also try their best to immigrate to the United States, after entering the 21st century, American movies, music and other works have set off a wave in China, and many people like American blockbusters.
This is the embodiment of US hegemony, whose culture has strongly squeezed the cultures of other countries, and their thinking will gradually follow the United States, thus ignoring its own culture and ideas.
In the political and economic spheres, the manifestation of US hegemony is even more pronounced. The United States also controls the World Bank, the dollar ranks first among the world's currencies, and both the appreciation and depreciation of the dollar can cause an economic wave.
The United States enjoys a great deal of voice in many international organizations, and it has been suggested that the United Nations is like a garden of the United States, and that the United States is the master of the United Nations. There is also NATO, the United States said that it would send troops, and other member countries can only follow and cannot refuse.
Finally, on the military front, as of July 2021, the United States has 750 U.S. military bases in 80 countries, including 120 active U.S. military bases in Japan and 73 in South Korea. This is also a manifestation of US hegemonism, and US troops can be stationed in other sovereign countries.
The United States is so powerful, why has it not maintained its position as the world hegemon?
Hegemony collapsed
The collapse of US hegemony is not a momentary time, but a gradual process of collapse.
In 2001, the United States "9/11" incident occurred, the United States hegemony was provoked, in 2008, the world financial crisis broke out, the United States economy declined rapidly, coupled with the United States could not achieve victory in Afghanistan and Iraq, the military strength was questioned, these things all show that the hegemonic system established by the United States is disintegrating.
The fundamental reason for this is that all countries in the world are "waking up" and are unwilling to live under the control of the United States, and many small countries are speaking out in the international community and want to seek more development opportunities. Even some European countries have been trying to get rid of US control in recent years.
The United States is well aware of this, and for this reason they have made a lot of efforts to ease the speed of the collapse of US hegemony, but to no avail.
The economic development of the United States is sluggish, the dollar has suffered, and the throne of the world's largest currency is almost unable to sit still, and the United States cannot even pay its dues to the United Nations.
Seeing that the throne of the world hegemon is about to sit still, the United States has no choice but to copy history, destroy the world peace situation, and let the countries of the world return to war, while the United States can take the opportunity to reshape the hegemonic system and regain the right to speak in the world.
Although the United States has played a good game, the collapse of US hegemonism is inevitable, the world will eventually develop toward multipolarization, and the United States will no longer be able to "dominate as one family."
