Fast Technology reported on June 2 that Tesla's new Model 3 high-performance version has been officially sold in the Chinese market on June 2, and the first batch of deliveries is expected to begin in mid-June.

The official guide price of this model is 335,900 yuan, which is the highest price among the Model 3 series currently on sale in China.

Compared to the regular version, the new Model 3 Performance Edition has been tweaked in detail on the exterior, adding air vents on both sides of the front bumper, black trim on the bottom, a diffuser at the rear, and a carbon fiber spoiler and exclusive tail badge at the rear.

The dimensions have also been adjusted, with a length, width and height of 4,724/1,848/1,430 mm and a wheelbase of 2,875 mm, an increase of 4 mm in length and a 12 mm reduction in height.

On the outside, the new car is equipped with newly-shaped forged rims and exclusive red high-performance brake calipers, with 235/40 R19 tyres at the front and 265/35 R19 at the rear. The heat dissipation performance of the braking system has been improved, and the brake pedal has an enhanced foot feel.

Inside, the new Model 3 Performance Edition features carbon fiber trim, added support for the front seats, and exclusive logos.

In terms of power, the new Model 3 high-performance version is equipped with the fourth-generation drive unit, including a front induction asynchronous motor and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a combined system power of 343 kilowatts and a combined torque of 723 Nm, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 3.1 seconds, and a top speed of 261 km/h.

The range is equipped with a 78.4 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, and the estimated range is 623 km in CLTC mode.

In comparison, the 2023 Model 3 long-range all-wheel drive version is priced at 271,900 yuan, with a combined power of 331 kilowatts and a combined torque of 559 Nm, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds, a top speed of 200 km/h, and an estimated CLTC range of 713 km.

Compared with the high-performance version, the long-range version lacks suspension soft and hard adjustments, exterior sports packages, and sport-style seats.

In the pure electric mid-size car market, Tesla's Model 3 sales performance is outstanding, with cumulative sales of more than 120,000 units in the past year, far exceeding other models in the same class.

The launch of the new Model 3 high-performance version further enriches Tesla's product lineup and provides consumers with a higher performance option.

In the same segment, models such as the Zeekr 007 4WD Performance Edition, the Xpeng P7i 610 MAX Performance Edition, and the NIO ET5 are also potential competitors to the new Model 3 Performance Edition.
