With the advent of the Dragon Boat Festival, the mainland's unmanned aerial vehicles flew over the outer islands of Kinmen and spread leaflets, which is tantamount to giving the Taiwan authorities a great gift; for a long time, the Taiwan authorities have regarded Kinmen Island as a forbidden area for the mainland and believe that the mainland will not dare to enter.

On 8 June, in response to US arms sales to Taiwan, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Zhang Xiaogang said that the US arms sales to China's Taiwan region violated the one-China principle, and China lodged solemn representations with the US side and urged the US side to immediately withdraw its arms sales plan to Taiwan.
