The reporter learned from the First Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group that today (14th), the Long March 10 series rockets used for manned missions such as the moon landing successfully completed the test run of a sub-stage rocket power system. During the test run, the engine started normally, worked stably, shut down regularly, and the parameters were tested normally. This test is the first system-level large-scale ground test of the Long March 10 series of launch vehicles, and the matching of the first sub-stage pressurized delivery system with the engine, the propellant filling process, the parallel force transmission of multiple aircraft, and the environmental characteristics have been fully verified.

The Long March 10 rocket is a three-and-a-half-stage rocket, a new rocket developed for the manned lunar exploration project. The total length of the rocket is 92.5 meters, the take-off weight is about 2189 tons, the take-off thrust is about 2678 tons, and the carrying capacity of the Earth-Moon transfer orbit is not less than 27 tons.
The power system test is the ground development test with the most systems, the most complex state and the most difficult in the development of launch vehicles. The test run of the power system of the Long March 10 series of launch vehicles is the simultaneous ignition of three YF-100K engines of one sub-stage, which is the largest power system test run of the launch vehicle in the development process of the mainland at this stage, with a ground thrust of 382 tons, an increase of 1.6 times compared with the previous large-scale test.
According to the follow-up development plan, the Long March 10 series of carrier rockets will carry out the second test run of the first sub-stage power system in the near future to further verify other working conditions and lay the foundation for the smooth implementation of the manned lunar exploration project.
