For a long time, Samsung's Galaxy flagship mobile phone series has won the favor of consumers around the world with its excellent image performance, especially the performance of the S24 series. Therefore, for the upcoming S25 series, consumers naturally have higher expectations, hoping to achieve greater breakthroughs in imaging. However, according to the latest news, the Samsung S25 and S25+ don't seem to show significant signs of improvement when it comes to camera upgrades.

Recently, CNMO learned from foreign media that the front and rear camera configurations of Samsung S25 and S25+ are expected to be almost the same as those of the previous model. The main rear camera is still expected to be 50 megapixels, while the front selfie camera remains at 12 megapixels. Looking at Samsung's past strategy, the two flagship phones in the base and Plus models have been using the 50-megapixel main camera since 2022, with the sensor model transitioning from the ISOCELL GN5 to the ISOCELL GN3, and continuing to use the latter this year. For the S25 series, while it's unclear whether the same sensor will continue or be updated, the increase in pixel resolution doesn't seem to be on Samsung's radar.

Similarly, the S25 and S25+ selfie cameras are also expected to maintain a 12-megapixel configuration, which is in line with the models of the past two years. However, due to the lack of specific information about the sensor, we can't be sure if this means that the camera hardware is exactly the same, or if there are some minor improvements. Still, considering Samsung's continued investment in selfie camera technology, one can expect some software-level optimizations or the introduction of new features.

It's worth mentioning that leaked information about the Samsung S25 Ultra reveals that it will come with an updated ultra-wide angle and a 3x zoom camera sensor. Specifically, the next-generation Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens to replace the existing 12-megapixel lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x zoom camera to replace the existing 10-megapixel lens.

It should be noted that there are rumors that Samsung may adopt Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen4 mobile platform globally to supply these devices due to capacity issues with the Exynos 2500. Since Qualcomm is raising the price of its next-generation chips, this could lead to an increase in the overall selling price of the S25 series.
