In order to actively respond to the call for publicity and education on electricity conservation into the campus, and guide children to establish the environmental protection concept of electricity conservation from an early age, in June 2024, Changjiang Road Kindergarten in Hai'an, Jiangsu Province carried out the volunteer activity of "Saving Electricity, You and I 'Children' Walk".

Flipping through the story of the picture book "If There Is No Electricity", children learned about the source of electricity and found that it was not easy to come by consuming other energy sources on the earth. Volunteers carried out a variety of power-saving publicity and education activities for children to enhance their awareness of power-saving.

How do you call on everyone to save electricity? Under the guidance of the volunteers, the children scrambled to become "propaganda experts" for saving electricity. We used the brushes in our hands to draw power-saving marks and posters to contribute to the creation of a green home.

Electricity has a close relationship with people's lives, and saving electricity is not just talking. Under the leadership of the volunteers, the children started from the small things around them, such as turning off the lights when leaving the activity room, unplugging the all-in-one when not in use, making full use of natural light and using less lighting, etc., so that everyone saved energy in their actions.

Tips for saving electricity
What else can we do about saving electricity? Together with the children, the volunteers learned that adjusting the air conditioning temperature to 26 degrees or more in summer can reduce the load and electricity consumption. Putting a lid on food processed in a microwave oven makes it difficult for water to evaporate, saving electricity and tasting well.
After this activity, the volunteers sowed the seeds of "loving electricity, cherishing electricity, and saving electricity" in the hearts of children. Saving is a habit, a virtue, and a responsibility. Let's start from the little things around us and create a green life of energy conservation and environmental protection!
