On June 23, Ms. Liang told reporters that at about 2:40 p.m. on June 21, her mother was riding an electric car to get a courier, and when she stopped at the intersection of Guangming Street and Nongyi Road in Liangcheng County to wait for a traffic light, a jeep drove behind and knocked her mother to the ground. After that, the vehicle involved in the accident started and ran over the mother's head and other parts twice. After the incident, the family found through surveillance video that after the vehicle involved the accident knocked the mother down, the co-pilot passenger also opened the door to observe the situation.
The surveillance video provided by Ms. Liang shows that a woman was driving an electric car to stop at the edge of the sidewalk at the intersection, and a jeep knocked the woman to the ground from behind and stopped, and the electric car was hit and rushed out of the intersection. About 10 seconds later, the car started and the right front and right rear wheels ran over the woman who fell to the ground.

According to a notice of inquiry from the Liangcheng County Public Security Bureau provided by Ms. Liang, on June 22, the Liangcheng County Public Security Bureau said that the bureau was handling the case of Zheng Moumou's suspected intentional homicide, and in order to ascertain the facts of the case, Ms. Liang's younger brother was notified to go to the bureau's criminal police brigade for questioning. Ms. Liang said that the police mainly asked about her mother's personal information, information about the driver of the car that caused the accident and other co-occupants, etc., and the police said that it was in the investigation stage and it was inconvenient to disclose it.

After a preliminary investigation, at 14:41 on June 21, Zheng Moumou (male, 40 years old, unemployed) drove to the intersection of Guangming Street and Nongyi Road in Liangcheng County, collided and ran over Li Moumou (female, 57 years old) who was waiting for a traffic light, and then fled the scene by car. The criminal suspect Zheng Moumou was arrested at 16:03 on the same day, and after a blood test, the ethanol content in his blood was 178.73mg/100mL. At present, our bureau has launched a working mechanism for the investigation of homicide cases, and criminally detained the criminal suspect Zheng Moumou in accordance with the law.
