Although only one factory in the special equipment manufacturing industry was selected, this breakthrough also indicates the potential of this field in the convergence application of 5G technology.

Computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing has 40 factories selected; The automobile manufacturing industry has 17 factories listed; There are 26 factories in the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry; Five factories in the railway, marine, aerospace and other transport equipment manufacturing industries were selected.

These factories use 5G technology to realize the digitalization and intelligence of the production process, improve production efficiency and product quality, and provide strong support for the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry in the mainland.

Geographically, these 5G factories are located all over the country, and the eastern coastal region has become the main gathering place of 5G factories with its superior economic foundation, technical strength and open market environment. In particular, the Yangtze River Delta region, represented by Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places, has many advanced manufacturing clusters and is in a leading position in the number of 5G factories.

In Sany Heavy Machinery's 5G factory, the application of 5G technology in multiple subdivided scenarios such as smart manufacturing logistics, data collection, remote control, and remote diagnosis has been realized. 5G technology covers the whole business, whole process, and all links of the factory, and provides technical support for data-driven decision-making in 5G factories.

In Hefei Ankai Automobile's 5G factory, Hefei Mobile relies on the advantages of 5G network and systematically solves problems such as lack of refinement and transparency in the manufacturing process by building 5G private network + UWB (high-precision positioning system) + MES (production information management system) software.

In Wuhu Gree's 5G factory, through the 5G network to carry palletizing robots, unmanned forklifts, AGVs and other transportation vehicles, the unmanned collaborative operation of the line-side warehouse is realized, and the intelligent flexible plane library based on 5G and AI vision algorithms realizes the whole process of flexible unmanned operation of non-standard large-scale goods.
