It is said that he had been in the army for more than 20 years at that time, and he was not a new soldier who had just joined the army. Because the army is a place where seniority is emphasized, the records of the old Red Army and the old Eighth Route Army were not bad during the war years. The political commissar of the East China Sea Fleet told him not to worry too much and to take up his post with a relaxed mind. He put forward an idea to his superiors, that is, he wanted to make himself the deputy political commissar and work for a few months, if he didn't work, he would not accept his fate, and asked the former political commissar Song Xianzhang not to be transferred first.
After considering his situation, the superiors agreed, and he took up his post in the name of deputy political commissar, and in fact the leading group of the base received him according to the treatment of the political commissar. For example, before he took office, the director of the political department of the base came to his former unit to pick him up, which was all out of specification. After coming to the base, he got to know the commander Li Jing and lit the first fire, asking the people in the guest house to obey the commander's orders, otherwise they would be dismissed.
After serving as the nominal deputy political commissar for several months, in early October, the higher authorities sent a telegram officially appointing him as the political commissar of the base, which belongs to the regular military position. He hesitated after reading the telegram, and said: It is recommended to launch it in 2 days as well! Commander Li Jing said: It should be announced immediately. How does Zhang Yimin think about it?
He had told his superiors that he would work for a little time to see if he was competent, but now that the work has not progressed, he has been formally appointed. I hope to make some achievements, and I may be more convincing to the public if I take up the post again. After all, many members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Zhoushan base are more senior than themselves.
However, Commander Li Jing and former political commissar Song Xianzhang both said that it should be announced immediately, and all members of the Standing Committee should also announce it immediately. He can only be a minority obeying the majority, and Commander Li will announce his appointment at the meeting.
