Affected by the warm and humid airflow and the low trough shear line, a heavy rainfall process will occur in the western, central and eastern parts of our province from June 30 to July 2. Among them, there are heavy to heavy local heavy rains in Nujiang Prefecture, the western part of Dali Prefecture, the northern part of Baoshan City, and the northwest of Dehong Prefecture, and moderate to heavy rain in Zhaotong City, Qujing City, Wenshan Prefecture, Kunming City, the eastern part of Yuxi City, Honghe Prefecture, and the northern part of Chuxiong Prefecture.
The cumulative rainfall in the western region is 50~90 mm, 120~180 mm in the western fringe area, and more than 200 mm locally. The cumulative rainfall in the central and eastern regions is 30~70 mm, and the local rainfall is more than 100 mm. The maximum hourly rainfall is 40~60 mm. During the process, it will be accompanied by strong convective weather such as thunder and lightning, short-term heavy precipitation, local hail, and strong winds.
