Affected by the thunderstorm clouds moving eastward on the west side of the Pearl River Estuary, there will be a new wave of thunderstorms in the central and western regions of our city, accompanied by short-term gusts of wind and thunder and lightning of about level 8. At 13:05 on 29 June 2024, the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory extended the yellow warning signal for thunderstorms and gales to Nanshan District, Futian District, Longhua District and Shenzhen Bay. Please implement various measures to protect against wind and lightning.
Defense Guidelines
1. Pay attention to the latest news of thunderstorms and gales and relevant defense notices, and residents should avoid going out as much as possible and stay in a safe place with lightning protection devices for temporary shelter;
2. Relevant units, property service enterprises and individuals reinforce doors, windows and temporary structures, and place outdoor shelves and hanging objects;
3. Stop large-scale outdoor activities, and units and individuals (except for special industries) stop high-altitude and outdoor operations;
4. Ports, water facilities, and water and underwater operators shall immediately take safety measures or suspend operational activities, and the ship shall drive cautiously or suspend sailing;
5. Outdoor places such as parks, scenic spots, and playgrounds should issue warning messages and take protective measures;
6. Take necessary measures to ensure the safety of equipment, facilities and places that are susceptible to lightning strikes;
7. Take safety precautions for outdoor power supply facilities in low-lying areas, and pay attention to outdoor electricity safety;
8. Airports, rail transit, highways, ports and other business management units shall take measures to ensure traffic safety in accordance with industry regulations.
