The first day of the Wimbledon 2024 tennis tournament has been released, with defending men's singles champion Alcaraz taking to the centre court to kick off the opening match, while local darling Raducanu is also in the centre court. A total of nine members of the Chinese army fought on the first day: Zhang Zhizhen, Shang Juncheng, Zheng Qinwen, Yuan Yue, Wang Xiyu, Zhu Lin, Wang Yafan, Zhang Shuai, and Wang Qiang.

On the first day of the match, reigning men's singles champion and new French Open champion and third seed Alcaraz will take on qualifier Dial in the opening match. Local favourite Raducanu followed suit against 22nd seed Alexandria in the Women's Singles. The third match of the center court will be between two American players, with the Women's Singles No.2 seed Gauff taking on compatriot Dolehide. Men's Singles top seed Sinner, No. 5 seed Dmitry Medvedev, and Women's Singles No. 3 seed Sabalenka will start their Wimbledon journey on Court 1 on the first day. Azarenka's clash with Stephens will be played out in the fourth match on Court 2.

As for the Chinese legion, a total of nine players will appear on the first day. Zhang, who is seeded for the first time in a Grand Slam, will face qualifier Jean Vie in the second match on Court 5, followed by Wang Yafan and Schmiedlova. Shang Juncheng, who qualified for the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time by virtue of his ranking, will play the qualifier Garin in the first match on Court 6, and Wang Xiyu's match against Vekic will be played in the third match of the venue. Women's Singles No. 8 seed Zheng Qinwen started her Wimbledon journey in the third match on Court 18, facing Chinese qualifier Sun Lulu; Yuan Yue made her second appearance on Court 7 against Ruth; Zhu Lin made her debut on Court 9 against Begu. Zhang Shuai and Wang Qiang, who qualified for the main draw with their protection rankings, will play in the second match on Court 14 and the fourth match on Court 16 respectively, facing No. 14 seed Kasatkina and No. 19 seed E. Matches on central Wimbledon will start at 20:30 GMT, matches on Court 1 will start at 20:00 GMT, and matches on the rest of the courts will start at 18:00 GMT.
